Even thought it annoys me as well. Why did you bother making a thread about it? xD That won't prevent it from people calling Action Figures "Dolls"

Pro tip: It doesn't affect your image in anyone else's eyes if you collect little plastic people, but you suddenly look insecure when you insist that they're action figures and not dolls.

Definitely an action figure. Not sure it needed its own thread, but it's definitely not a doll I remember when the Warrior was selling his custom Jakks figures they made for him and he was calling them dolls. at 1:29 and then over and over lol.

Warrior has spoken. That's a pretty cool video, never seen it before. He was right, too, Jakks did come out with a lot of different costumes for his dolls.

I cared when I was 5 or 6, now I really don't care. I'm a grown adult collecting wrestling toys nothing bothers me.

You'll enjoy this. Onto the subject at hand: I don't see the big deal. The term action figure only exists because they wanted to sell dolls to boys, then it became just as much a part of the public consciousness as a term. But what they're called doesn't really matter at the end of the day. They are miniature versions of people that you like and so you want to collect them. Don't worry about it beyond that, just have fun.
