He would have had a great run in WWE if they didn't replace him in the Shield with Reigns. That riot gear would have done wonders to hide some weight.

Near sure I read at some point he said the weight was more him wanting to be a "NWA Big Hoss" type of wrestler now days. Might have just been an excuse tho. He's got a gut to him, but can we really say it's affected his fitness at all. The dude can still go, and then some.

Didn't he wrestle like 5 hours straight for charity? He wrestled 3 hours without more than 3 minutes rest at a time. I watched their footage, & Rich Swann & Jason Kincaid participated. Chris Hero is better than Zack Sabre Jr. He's better than AJ Styles, he's more well rounded than most Indy marks' professed "Best in the world" selections. And to the OP, just hush with your nonsense.

I like Hero a lot (although he is clearly fat) he can definitely go. But no way is he better than AJ Styles. The 2015 AJ Styles had is world class, Chris Hero has never seen this level.

Chris Hero is not fat. He is just out of shape. There is a difference. Actually, with his height and build, he could easily be the Barry Windham of this generation. his bmi is most certainly over 25. he is overweight, or 'fat', without question.

Then I hope you agree that Kevin Owens is fat too right?? Because for people to diss Chris Hero's weight gain and not say anything about Kevin Owen's appearance is just crazy.

Neither guy should be dissed since they are both in the most important kind of shape, ring shape.

You can't diss someone's weight gain and praise someone who looks out of shape either. Chris Hero wrestled for over 3 hours in a charity event. So who cares if he has a stomach now. Stan Hansen, Barry Windham, Dick Murdoch, Dusty Rhodes all did, but somehow Hero gets dissed but these same fans will praise Kevin Owens who looks bigger than Hero. And that's not a diss on Owens either.

Because for people to diss Chris Hero's weight gain and not say anything about Kevin Owen's appearance is just crazy. well, i both agree and disagree. kevin owens is undoubtedly a endomorph - someone who, even at his most cut naturally, is still gonna have a few extra pounds. chris hero on the other hand seems to have traits of both ectomorph and mesomorph. simply put, kevin owens has the body that is going to carry some additional pounds while hero's body looks quite unhealthy. i can also guarantee you that kevin owens' bmi is FAR lower than hero's, and that the majority of owen's frame is muscle. he could've been a good powerlifter as well. owens is the type of body people should be expecting more and more if we're going to expect guys not to be using the juice. chris hero, at 36, is much the same in that we shouldn't be surprised to see a guy gaining additional pounds after he's over 30. it's just he seems to have gone a bit overboard and actually developed a gut. overall, as long as both of them can 'go', right?

Exactly! And I was watching some old Horsemen stuff, and at times even Tully Blanchard had a gut on him in the ring. Hero is like an old school 80s type of wrestler. He was wrestling in the wrong era. He would have been a huge hit in the 80s for Mid Atlantic I bet. But Hero should not let it get out of hand. But at the same time, him having some extra weight around his stomach area isn't that bad.

Hell, from the developmental of the biggest fed. Just my opinion, I loved Hero as a wrestler. Best PWG Champion we ever had.

He's a bit heavy, but I couldn't care less, seeing as how he's one of the absolute best wrestlers in the world.

There are guys 50 pounds lighter who aren't in as good of ring shape as he is. Being cosmetically in shape doesn't always = great ring shape. Hero can still go 30 minutes and not even be blown up. Not saying that losing the weight would be the worst thing for him health wise or professionally of course but you can't deny that it hasn't had an effect on his in ring work. Sam Roberts actually asked him about the weight gain on his podcast this week for anyone who might be interested in hearing Hero himself talk about it.
