I think AJ needs a more uplifting theme. I always like his TNA theme "I am".

Absolutely no idea who Nakamura is. All I see is NJPW marks go nuts over the guy. He's got a less than impressive look and I've only seen corny GIFs but I'm hoping I'm pleasantly surprised by what he brings. Zayn is a good pick for his first opponent. I'm seeing a lot of these posts lately. A lot of 'I've heard of him, but that's about it.' When did it become cool to become ignorant? Boom. Less than a minute of googling.

Less than a minute of googling. The same time it became uncool to be condescending. Not every wrestling fan has the passion, time, or care enough to watch every single wrestling promotion available to them. Get over it.

I remember them being close to signing a few years ago before Jay got in some PC hooplah. I have to say, I don't like it as much now that I can hear it. The lyrics just don't match him very well. It sounds cool over the speakers when you can't really hear the words, but like this it just doesn't suit him. I wonder how many songs WWE is just sitting on? Like, obviously one with people singing it and stuff take time and effort, seems odd that they'd do all of that work for songs that might not get used.

I'm convinced that Theme was made either as a generic or default template for someone or was purposely created for somebody else, and AJ just so happened to have arrived and needed a theme so they dug this out from the archives. It doesn't suit him at all in my opinion, it needs a big intro that generates an instant reaction. As of now he is getting pop's based on who he is, not because the fans suddenly hear 'The Glass shattering', or 'Lesnar's Siren' for example. Another thing, it's hard to imagine him winning a World Championship with slow rap music playing in his celebrations, it just doesn't fit him at all. I used to love his original TNA theme, it suited him to the ground.
One thing I will point out regarding Raw and AJ Styles, I wasn't fond at all of the way the commentary team approached his Match. They should be billing him as one of the Best in the World, to make unfamiliar viewers think he is a big deal. Instead they went down the same path they did with Daniel Bryan, by acting like he was just a kid who wrestled elsewhere but now has to start from the bottom up in WWE. Calling it as if they were surprised that he was just about managing to 'hang' with Jericho only undermined him in my opinion. If anything, it should have been the other way round, for example "Chris Jericho is a 6 time World Champion but he may have his work cut out for him here, he'll have to really raise his Game as I'm telling you Cole, AJ Styles has wrestled the World over and is one of the best pure athletes on the Planet, I can't wait for this one..."
Part of me is even thinking I would have like to of seen them given him a Lesnar-type role. He could have been the next closest thing to a special attraction for completely different reasons. On one hand you have Brock Lesnar, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, a destructive beast who brings legitimacy to every appearance he makes. On the other hand you could have AJ Styles, billed as the true Best Wrestler in the World who wrestles in big Matches almost like a showcase of his unique and special talents.

I've heard of him, it's just not that interesting for me to spend my time going nuts searching all the clips for the guy.

To be able to that, he'd have had to have had a better showing in the Rumble. When it comes down to it, he eliminated two jobbers and got tossed out buy a guy limping to the ring.

All of his other themes have had a very distinct, recognisable opening, and whenever you heard them, you knew AJ was coming out. If they just add in a sound effect similar to the start of his NJPW theme it would be much better.

Apparently Anderson and Gallows will go straight to the main? How can they without Finn?

I can't get my head round people not knowing who Nakamura is. He's been around exactly as long as Cena and has been a cornerstone of NJPW for more than ten years!
If someone in Japan didn't know who John Cena was, we'd all be amazed.

If someone in Japan didn't know who John Cena was, we'd all be amazed. Simple fact is WWE is a global phenomenon. NJPW is not. It's not that difficult to comprehend, as amazing as Nakamura is
