TNA President Dixie Carter spoke with the Associated Press earlier this week and claimed that WWE are trying to sign members of TNA’s roster. Attention paid to transfers between the two brands has been intensified in recent times after James Storm decided to leave NXT to rejoin Impact Wrestling. The former Beer Money man had appeared in a couple of episodes of WWE developmental’s weekly show, but decided against signing a full-time deal. According to ProWrestlingSheet.com, WWE were only willing to offer less than $100K a year to Storm. TNA, on the other hand, offered him two-and-a-half times more than that. In years gone by it has normally been fired WWE Superstars that have made the move to Impact Wrestling – with the likes of Drew Galloway and Ethan Carter III a couple of successful examples – but Dixie claims WWE are now actively scouting her wrestlers. “We’ve always been criticised about taking WWE talent, and I think it’s pretty interesting how the roles have been reversed,” she said. “Our competitors, our competition have been after our talent.” And Carter wasn’t afraid to take a small pop at WWE in relation to Storm’s fledgling run with them. She said: “The grass isn’t always greener and what we have here is very special.” (Sighs) Can't wait for Spud to come to NXT. Who are the WWE after, you stupid bitch? God, I hate this woman. Your entire main event title picture is built around former WWE talent that they no longer wanted, or couldn't cut it.
Glad Storm went back. He's mediocre at best and not worth big money at all. Dixie can overpay his ass year after year. Beer Money have done all they're going to do. This reunion reminds me of when DX came back. Two older guys trying to rehash an old gimmick.

If Dixie doesn't stroke her own ego, no one will.

I can't read the title without thinking of this. Glad I'm not the only one lol If this article was posted a few months ago I'd believe it, what with Joe and Storm showing up in NXT, but besides Bobby Roode is there really anyone left worth it?

I assume you don't get the joke? I know what he's saying, it's just bizarre to think Spud would stand any kind of success in WWE, despite being awesome in TNA.

I dont have a problem with what Dixie said. A lot of what she said is true. Why is it WWE pursuing AJ ok? But TNA pursuing any former WWE star is they cant create their own stars? Why is WWE signing Balor awesome when they are not criticized for signing anyway a NJPW star, cant WWE create their own stars?
I have no issue with either company pursuing other stars. At the height of pro wrestling was when people were shockingly appearing on another show or rumors swirling who will sign where. Competition breeds greatness. In the end, we as fans win and wrestlers win with having additional opportunities.

Honestly, TNA should just keep WWE's name out of their mouths until they can get their s*** together. Dixie should not be mentioning the competition. The only words about wrestling that should come out of her mouth is about TNA. And I actually don't see a problem with TNA wanting former WWE guys if they can make them interesting. Same with WWE when they do it. TNA has made Derrick Bateman awesome by making him EC3. Problem is, TNA is no where near as important for the main stream fans to like EC3, and it's sad that they haven't figured how to get even a little bit of the same success WWE has. I loved what TNA did with Lashley when he became World Champion. He was a heel, but he was a dominating heel champion who most of the time didn't depend on interference to retain his belt.
Sorry for the rant lol. Again, Dixie should stop mentioning WWE. You don't see WWE mentioning TNA whenever they sign guys that came from their promotion. In fact, TNA is the only promotion I see not come out of WWE's mouths, and I agree with it. They're not worth the mention anymore.

If Impact's ratings keep dropping (which I expect them to do), TNA is on the fast track to being the 4th ranked company in America behind WWE, ROH and oddly enough NJPW..which doesnt even hold shows in the United States.

it could very well be greener grass...150k more and not having to wrestle more than once a week is not a bad deal.

In the end, we as fans win and wrestlers win with having additional opportunities. Probably because when WWE get these guys, they build them up on their brand. ie, Balor in NXT. Where in TNA for the most part they came in and went straight to top and went over the guys already there. That's the difference between them.
