I don't know a whole lot about video games outside of sports/wrestling, but a buddy at work was hyping up Fallout 3, the one from 2008, and the alien level especially enticed me. I have ordered a version from the Internet to play, my question is, if it comes without the downloadable alien content, can I still download it all these years later, and how much does it cost? Thanks for any info!

Is it a PC version of the game?

the alien dlc was pretty fun. I'd imagine by now it's automatically included. I know they rereleased a game of the year version that I believe included all of the dlc.

The alien DLC was awful. It was like playing a completely diffierent game. Interesting, but I didn't like that it was part of the Fallout universe.
If you order a definitive/Game of the Year edition of the game, it'll have all of the DLC on a separate disc. (I'm not sure you can find the regular edition cause the GOTY is like $15). You just have to pop it in and it'll download it all to your hard drive.

If I buy the GOTY edition, do I still have to beat a certain portion of the game to play the alien level, or can I just go straight to it?

The alien level is pretty hard.
