I hope Tai is down the numbers (by one) and his tribe loses tomorrow so that he can use his idol and vote out someone like Jason, Scot, or grandpa.

I know.
Overall I like them the most.
Nick was a real douche pre-game but I have not seen enough of him to still hold any animosity towards him.

I have a feeling he will make it to around 6 or 7. He is way too likeable and I think people will view him as a threat at final tribal.

Glad Tai is still there. But it's not looking good for him. Hopefully he can find a crack or something. He's the man, but just sucks one of the beauties got voted out tonight...

Tai may be a nice guy but his strategy and decision making sucks. He could have used his idol tonight to save Anna and blindside Peter. Julia then joins them and the original Beauty tribe has the numbers (assuming a flip by poor "all alone on the island" Scot) and a good chance to go into the merge in a position of power. Instead, he didn't use the idol, Anna is voted out, and Julia is almost certain to go next - particularly if the Brains and Scot figure out that the merge is imminent and decide to throw the immunity challenge so they can get rid of Julia leading to Brains having the most original members post-merge. They would also have a good relationship with at least one of the Brawn tribe which is further bad news for the remaining Beauty tribe members.

Yeah I am so sad that my other female pick Anna got the boot!
All of my people are leaving and it annoys me.
Now I really only care for Cydney. I used to like Peter but he is such a douche now.
Julia is someone I also like but she is going to be picked off soon sadly imo.

They would also have a good relationship with at least one of the Brawn tribe which is further bad news for the remaining Beauty tribe members. I don't think tais decision was stupid at all. It's too early to play an idol for someone other than him. Tai knows first hand how close that girl alliance was. He knows that once they make the merge that the girls will stick together and leave him on the bottom. Now he has Scot and Julia has no choice but to side with him. Now it's 3 v 3 and if they lose again he can idol out Peter and be in the same spot as he would've been anyway but now he's higher up in the alliance without a legitimate threat like anna in his way. But in the end I don't think it matters because it really seems after they showed his leg that he's gonna be a medivac. That crap didn't look good. It seems like a penner Micronesia situation. Scot really impressed me this episode. I don't think he's gonna win but he's in a good position being a swing vote and knowing about the idols. After last week's episode I legitimately thought Debbie was the winner but now it seems like she's being setup for an epic downfall. I don't think it's good to be called a mastermind in two straight episodes. I really like Neal and Nick, so it's gonna suck when brawn is forced to make that choice. The fact that Julia and Michelle were with Scot and Jason last week (Twitter) makes me think they go with beauty which is good for Nick but his lack of screen time is concerning. Cydney to me seems like the winner thus far, and I'm ok with that. I actually really like her and the fact that she's not the stereotypical loud obnoxious black woman that they usually cast. I hate when they do that. Naonka, Stephanie, tasha (SC mainly), sharea or whatever her name from China etc. I was prepared to be underwhelmed this season but frankly I'm enjoying it more than second chances. I think this episode proved that Scot and Jason aren't vile misogynistic bullies btw and that it was alicia being an annoying pestering person. Scot was very sincere and Jason too. Hopefully they both go far because I like both of them.

Two quick notes: - One of the things I love about Survivor is the different strategic moves players can make and the possible long term effects. We don't agree about Tai's non-use of the idol as being a good or bad move but it is fun to read other people's ideas on how various strategies could play out. - I don't think you are replying to me specifically about Scot and Jason being bullies, but I want to point out that I never called them such. I would call them extremely rude and unlikeable. Just because she is gone and they aren't verbally trashing her doesn't really change my opinion of them.

I know Tai doesn't like him but I think if he knew the full story and how annoyed everyone was by Peter it would be a better decision to idol out Aubry who has more connections with her former Beauty Tribe plus if Debbie gets her way and makes it so a girl will for sure win (girls alliance) that would be one less woman the guys would have to worry about. Better yet he should really talk to Peter and see how he feels about flipping. I am sure he would since he could get revenge for his girl Elisabeth so in that scenario Tai wouldn't even have to reveal and or use his hidden idol.

Well yeah the merge episode next week should be VERY interesting.
I'm sad Peter got the boot tonight (although I didn't want Julia to go either) because I think he would have been a good wild card if he made the merge.
I hope the girls team up with the Beauty members.
I know that there are 3 idols floating around so I wonder if one will get played next week?

I thought last nights seasons was another solid episode. So sad my pre season pick Peter got the boot.
You guys aren't really liking this season? This had honestly been one of the best pre merges ever honestly. Great characters.
The merge should be awesome! Also.... TAI!

I am not liking the season that much to be honest..
A lot of my pre-season favorites are already out in: Elisabeth, Peter, and Caleb.
The only people left that I really like are Cydney while I sorta like Julia and Neal but really we've not seen much of them to know either way.
Sadly a lot of the people left are people I don't care for like: Scot, Jason, Debbie, and CIA Grandpa (what is his name?)..

There's a lot of likable people left!! At least in my opinion.
There's still Tai, Neal, Scot, Julia, Cydney, Michele, and Nick who I think are all likable.

, first Caleb, now Neal? ! If there is indeed another medivac this season I'd bring all three of them back in a Philippines style season dedicated just to Kaoh Rong.

Tonight could have been a good episode since people actually started to play the game, recognize the big threats, and try to position themselves for the end game. Tribal council would have been entertaining given how little tact most of these people have shown in previous tribals. Then it all went to hell thanks to a medivac departure which of course happened to someone I was just starting to like a bit.
The previews for next week give me some hope that the season will get better. I've been hoping Cydney would separate from Scot and Jason. They certainly teased that happening.
