Kota Ibushi is taking dates for W-1 in August. I guess him being signed depends on his performance here. Could just be a way to throw people off. Didn't Cody Rhodes take dates for indies when he was "fired" a year or two ago? I hope he signs, next to Nakamura he was my favourite guy I saw from NJPW beside a few of the foreigners like Styles.

Yeah, Cody took some for PWG when he got released, and that was my first thought with Kota, but they even have him on the poster: Plus, I seem to recall him saying that he wants to "research wrestling all around the world" for the foreseeable future.

I can't wait for this tournament, I'm looking forward to this more than anything in the WWE currently outside of AJ/Cena.
I honestly don't really care who wins but I would be over the moon if Sabre or Gulak win. Those two are TOO good and the IMO two of the top five technical wrestlers in the world if not top three.
Hoping they announce a few more names soon, I would hate for the brackets to be filled out with mostly WWE talent or guys that aren't really big names.

A couple of WWE guys would work though, I don't think it would be that bad.

I just don't want to see guys like Sin Cara,Enzo, Etc take up spots. Basically if they job or never win singles matches in the WWE I don't want them going over Indy guys that deserve it just because they're "superstars".

I for one don't like that they're keeping things so quiet about this. It's a tournament, a few surprises are cool but you don't need to hide most of the participants, if anything I think they would get more eyes on this by announcing everyone beforehand.

Who knows, it's really odd for the WWE to keep something so quiet like this, especially when this doesn't have any effect on the Main Roster from what we've been told.

Unless this is one part epic special, one part glorified tryout for those who might be able to sign.

Unless this is one part epic special, one part glorified tryout for those who might be able to sign. I truly think that is what it is. Drew Gulak has been a rumored signing for like a year now. I'd say it's almost a gaurentee that 4-5 of these guys get contracts when all is said and done. Sabre needs one of them.

Yeah when I first heard about this, this was what I imagined it essentially was gonna be.

I really don't know how Lince Dorado made it in. That dude fell off years ago, idk how the hell he got on the WWE's radar Lol

Nese is a cruiserweight? Hmmm. Nese has been horrible everytime I give him a chance. I'm actually pretty upset that he is in this. I've seriously tried so many times now to like him and everytime he has a crap match. CZW PWG EVOLVE When you try to watch a guy in three different companies and he craps the bed in all of them that's pretty bad. He and Conley are OK as a tag team. Maybe that is where he should be.
