WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Triple H (c) vs. Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose pulled off the massive upset, defeating both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Fast Lane, to get the biggest opportunity of his career at Wrestlemania, as he now takes on The Game for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the biggest stage of them all. Ambrose said from the beginning he would pull no punches to make it here, and he proved it at Fast Lane, as his brother Roman Reigns seemingly had Lesnar beaten after hitting a spear, Ambrose would low blow his best friend and roll him up to steal the victory. Triple H reacted like he had won the lottery, spending the buildup to Wrestlemania laughing at Ambrose, claiming this title defense would be a walk in the park, and that Ambrose wasn't good enough to beat him or to be World Champion. The King of Kings threw challenge after challenge Ambrose's way in the leadup to Wrestlemania, but Ambrose refused to stop fighting. Triple H would get the last laugh, putting Ambrose down with a vicious sledgehammer shot to the back of the head on the final Raw before Wrestlemania. Will the Lunatic Fringe prove everyone wrong and reach the pinnacle of success in the WWE, or will The Game continue on as champion?
No Disqualifications
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
How much can one man take before he breaks? At Fast Lane, Roman Reigns finally reached his boiling point. After Dean Ambrose stole victory to become the number one contender, Roman turned on his brother, momentarily congratulating him before attacking him. Reigns began what looked to be a vicious beatdown on Ambrose, the months of being screwed over by the Authority finally causing him to lose control, but before he could do much damage to his former brother, the lights went out, the gong sounded, and the Deadman appeared across the ring from Roman Reigns. Roman backed off, but the following night on Raw, after the Authority made a match between Reigns and Ambrose, Undertaker once again made his presence felt. After a competitive match, Roman got himself disqualified for refusing to honor a rope break. As he once again prepared to dismantle his former friend, Undertaker attacked Roman, laying him out with a chokeslam. The next week, Undertaker laid out a challenge for Wrestlemania, which was accepted in the form of a spear. From that point on, Reigns spent as much time as he could ambushing the Undertaker. Undertaker attempted his usual mind games, such as a casket being brought to ringside while Roman was in the ring. But Reigns ignored all of it, just walking away whenever such events occured. Eventually, on the go home Raw, the two had a massive brawl not unlike the one Undertaker and Lesnar had the previous summer. The Undertaker doesn't like what Roman Reigns has become. Roman Reigns is tired of being screwed, and wants to take matters into his own hands. Will The Undertaker add on to his impressive Wrestlemania resume, or will the new attitude of Roman Reigns allow him to accomplish a feat that only one other man has done, and defeat The Phenom at Wrestlemania?
Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens
After failing to become the number one contender at Fast Lane, Brock Lesnar showed up on Raw the next night in a foul mood. The type of mood that usually left someone hurt, and the type of mood that meant that nobody would usually dare to antagonize The Beast. Which led to Kevin Owens making one of the biggest statements of all time. With Paul Heyman ranting in the ring with Brock, Owens jumped the barricade and snuck into the ring behind them, attacking Brock Lesnar. Getting the jump on him allowed Owens to powerbomb Brock, not once, not twice, but three times, laying him out. The first powerbomb was in the middle of the ring. The second was onto the corner turnbuckle, and the third was on the ring apron. The third left Brock unable to walk out of the arena under his own power, and also left a panicing Heyman and a shocked WWE Universe. The next week, Owens would address his actions, claiming that he came to WWE to make an impact, and that he was a prize fighter, and that he wouldn't settle for some meaningless little match at his first Wrestlemania. He was taking out Brock Lesnar. Heyman would ask him if he realized what he had done, and what Brock was going to do to him. Owens laughed, and said that he defeated John Cena in his very first WWE Match. He then pointed out that Lesnar's first match upon returning to the WWE in 2012 was against John Cena, but reminded Heyman that unlike Owens, Lesnar lost that match. He said that being the one to take out Brock Lesnar would make him the biggest superstar in the WWE, and that after Wrestlemania was over, Paul would be begging him to become his new client. A couple of weeks later, Lesnar would return, attacking Owens during a match with Neville, and delivering a devastating F5 to Owens into the ring post, making it Owens turn to not walk out of the arena. Now the brass Kevin Owens is in for the fight of his life. Does he have what it takes to defeat the Beast, or will the story of Wrestlemania be Suplex, Lesnar, Suplex?
Intercontinental Championship
The Miz (c) vs. AJ Styles
The Miz took advantage of The Authority's war with Dean Ambrose, as Stephanie McMahon placed him in an Intercontinental Championship match on RAW, with HHH proceeding to distract Ambrose, allowing Miz to claim the championship. But the next week, while celebrating his title win, Miz began knocking AJ Styles, who he felt had shown him no respect upon arriving in the WWE. Styles, fresh off a victory over Jericho at Fast Lane, took exception to this, and confronted Miz, and goaded him into agreeing to a championship match at Wrestlemania. Will the loud mouthed Miz gain an impressive victory, or will AJ Styles cap off an impressive first four months in WWE by winning his first championship at his first Wrestlemania?
Divas Championship
Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
After Becky was unable to take the championship from Charlotte after their friendship broke down, Sasha Banks made her way into the picture. But with Charlotte temporarily occupied with Brie Bella, Becky and Sasha, who both wanted a chance to win the title found themselves fighting with several other divas for control at the top of the division. The rivals Becky and Sasha joined together to defeat Tamina and Naomi at Fast Lane, cementing themselves as the top two contenders in the division. They would end up facing off in a #1 contenders match, but Charlotte, seeking to establish her dominance and gain an advantage, interfered in the match attacking both Becky and Sasha, who were too exhausted from their match to fight her off. This would backfire on Charlotte, as Stephanie McMahon decided that because of her actions preventing a contender from being crowned, that at Wrestlemania it would be a triple threat match. Three women, the best the WWE has to offer, ready to go to war on the biggest stage of them all for the Divas Championship. You wanted your revolution. Now it's here.
United States Championship
Ladder Match
Kalisto (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Rusev vs. Dolph Zigger vs. Sheamus vs. Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Sin Cara
After the success of the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at last years Wrestlemania, Stephanie McMahon decided that this year it would be a fun showcase for the United States Championship to be defended in similar fashion. She also got tired of the League of Nations endless whining as she and her husband tried to prepare for his title defense, and after hearing them continue to boast about how great they were, she angrily reminded them of all of their failures, and then put the entire group into the ladder match, saying it would be fun to see them all turn on each other in the name of opportunity. King Barrett however, would unfortunately be injured and lose his spot in the match. The rest of the spots were filled with qualifying matches, with Sin Cara, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler and Bray Wyatt winning their way into the match. This match will surely be filled with tons of carnage and excitement. Kalisto faces an almost impossible task to retain the championship he worked so hard to get. Will partnerships fall in the pursuit of championship gold?
WWE Tag Team Championships
Elimination Match
New Day (c) vs. The Dudley Boys vs. The Usos vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan
The tag team division has been getting competitive, with The New Day reigning on top, solid showings from the Dudley Boys and the Usos had this match originally as a triple threat. But Harper and Rowan of the Wyatt Family made it know they wanted the titles, and after they were able to defeat the New Day in a 3 on 2 Handicap Match, they were added to the mix here. The history between the various teams is well documented. Who could forget the classic battles between the Wyatt Family and the Usos, or the Wyatts and the Dudleys from late 2015. The Dudleys and Usos have been going at it for much of the beginning of 2016, and New Day manages to find a way to get on everyones nerves. This match is a melting pot of styles, but with Elimination Rules in effect, there will be no excuses. The best team will walk out of Wrestlemania as the Tag Team Champions.
"The Green Arrow" Stephen Amell vs. Stardust
The history here makes this an interesting bout. Ever since Summerslam, when Stephen Amell became arguably the most impressive celebrity to ever step foot into a sanctioned WWE Match, Stardust has been wanting revenge. Feeling embarrassed after Neville and Amell defeated him and Barrett at Summerslam, Stardust stole the Slammy Award Amell won for his performance, only returning it after Amell agreed to face him one on one at Wrestlemania. Amell showed his true colors as a hero not just on the television screen but in real life, as he immediately auctioned off the Slammy for charity. Now, he prepares to return to the WWE on an even bigger platform than Summerslam, and he's promising that his appearance will be a spectacle that will live up to the Wrestlemania name. He won't have Neville to back him up this time. Will Amell find a way to win on his own, or will Stardust have the last laugh?
Braun Strowman vs. Mark Henry
With Braun Strowman wrecking anyone in his path since he debuted in the Wyatt Family, not many people seemed keen to oppose him. Mark Henry, likely competing in his final Wrestlemania, decided to take matters into his own hands. He didn't like the fact that Strowman had made a name for himself on the Strongman Competition Circuit, claiming there could only be one World's Strongest Man in the WWE, and that he was going to step up and put the fraud Braun down. This match resembles an opportunity for both competitors. For Henry, it's the chance to have one last big Wrestlemania moment, and for Strowman, it's the chance to show what he can do in his first high profile match by himself without the rest of the Wyatt Family to back him up. Will Strowman step up and show just how intimidating he really is, or will Mark Henry put down the newest member of the Wyatt Family before his career has a chance to take off?
Ryback vs. Big Show
This one is pretty simple. Ryback abandoned Big Show in their tag team match against the Wyatt Family on Raw the night after Fast Lane, claiming he had already beaten them and didn't need to be there. Needless to say, Big Show didn't appreciate this much, and knocked out Ryback the next week. The two began to try to take each other out, and the match for Wrestlemania was made. Ryback wants to get himself some momentum in 2016. Big Show wants the same thing. Which of these two big guys will come out on top at Wrestlemania?
