Check your Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, and Youtube.
Looks great. I'd be lying if I said I didn't initially tear up when they show the old firehouse.
Best part of the trailer to me?
The "Ugly Little Spud" is back.

Well, I watched it. I can safely say, I can't see a day coming where I would want to watch that movie. Whether I'm a fan of the originals or not, this just looks bad in my opinion.

Is this a continuation or not. The opening references the original group and Slimer exists.

It's not supposed to be a comedy is it? Because that didn't look or feel like a funny movie.

That was genuinely awful.

Sincerely awful. Asylum-level Production value. Looks like a follow up to the Scooby Doo movies, not Ghostbusters.
And it never bodes well for a comedy when there's no comedy.
I'll stick with the first two.

An all-female Ghostbusters could have been fine. But that trailer proved that the casting choices were awful.
This could be the worst film ever commited to screen.

Is this a continuation or not. The opening references the original group and Slimer exists. This is really one of my only issues with it so far. They really either needed to set it in the same universe or drop all together. Showing the old firehouse, saying '30 years later' just makes it look like a follow up. I honestly sense a different kind of comedy, obviously, but I smiled at most of the jokes, some more than others. They have clear chemistry, but it's still just a different kind than the others. McKinnon has the best jokes and seems the most interesting/funny so far. The movie, movies in general, are just different. It's all about attention span, flashiness. The first word that came to mind for me here was 'polish.' It's all so clean and shiny, and the technology is so over the top. I don't think Ghostbusters was ever meant to be a franchise like people are constantly trying to make it out to be, I honestly believe that. We were really lucky with two movies where the 'mundaneness of it all' to quote Harold Ramis really worked. This looks anything but mundane, anything but something that could just 'happen' in real life. That having been said, did I laugh/smile? Sure. But the other two movies make me do so much more than that. I also liked the remix theme because I am so tired of hearing that song after thirty years that I can't think of any other way to digest it

It's too loud and in-your-face. Humorless, piss poor dialogue. I love the subtlety of the original series, its witty humor and sharp dialogue. This looks like an SNL skit or a Scary Movie spoof or like Paul Feig's cast walked onto the wrong set and said it.

When I originally heard about this movie, my first thought was, wow, this is going to take a big crap on the original. Now that I see the trailer, I believe that more than ever. Hope it bombs.

SCREAMING YOUR LINES IS ALWAYS FUNNY! I haven't watched the trailer but I'm just going to assume that's about Leslie Jones.

Twisting her neck 180 degrees isn't gonna leave a mark.
Getting smacked in the face is what's going to leave a mark!

I'm a little surprised by the reactions here. What do you guys go to see? Not to pigeon hole any of you, but the summer blockbuster crowd (I go see summer blockbusters as well, even though I'm obnoxiously selective) are directly responsible not only for this looking the way it does, but for it even existing in the first place. Didn't those of you who go see Marvel movies create this monster? I think this is exactly as I expected it to look...goofy popcorn fare, which I think we're all in agreement that the first two are not, but even so...
