Warning: this thread is dark and full of spoilers
After months of waiting, it's FINALLY here.
The trailer looks great. I'm very excited for this season. We're pretty much in uncharted territory for both show watchers and book readers.
What is everyone most excited to see in Season Six? As my sig my indicate, I am by far anticipating Jon and the North Storyline the most. I'm really intrigued to see what Mel and Davos will do without Stannis too. Plus now Theon and Sansa are all alone in the North, so I excited to see what they do. I'm guessing Brienne might find them, unless she goes off to do some of the stuff she does in the books that they seemingly cut out of the show last season.

Just watched the trailer on Facebook. It could've been 2 minutes of Varys bathing and I'd still be hyped.

...and as far as what I'm most excited for I'd say what Davos/Mel are going to do with Jon (if anything) and what comes of Castle Black and the Wildlings, also the impending war between Cersei/Kings Landing and the High Sparrow/Great Sept. I'm pretty much interested in every story except Arya's, for some reason I just wasn't invested in her for most of last season (though Jaqen is always awesome).

"I choose violence" The Lannister vs. Faith Militant war looks really good. Really excited to see where this is head. Arya is one of my favorite characters (I would only put Jon and Jaime above her) but I agree, I don't really care for the House of Black and White Stuff that much. But I think it'll pay off in the long run when she becomes a badass assassin. Really hoping she's the one that gets to kill Walder Frey.

Who here reads the books? Upon rewatching the trailer, I noticed it answered a mystery from A Storm of Swords: (Future spoilers for the TV show) It shows Euron on a bridge in the middle of a storm, so I think it's safe to assume he's the one who killed Balon.

I haven't been this excited for a show in a long time. For the first time, even the book readers are unsure of what's going to happen.

My guess? We spend 9 or so episodes waiting for them to reveal that Jon Snow is Azor Ahai. I fully expect that whole deal to linger over the show for the whole season.
I'm really excited to see Bran's story tie into everything.
And if you would have told me I would ever be rooting for Cersei to cleanse King's Landing by way of the Mountain, I would have told you that you were on drugs. But here I sit, choosing violence.

I think we'll see Jon back pretty soon. Whether or not we find out he's Azor Ahai anytime soon is a different story. Maybe we will find out early, and it's why Mel resurrects him. Future spoilers, but book readers will know about this: The trailer shows some fighting in a flashback outside the Tower of Joy... maybe that's when we find out Jon is Azor Ahai or TPTWP?

Okay, so here is my reply that I promised to make. God I love this show. So, here we go:
- Looks like Season 6 will pick up right where Season 5 left off. The trailer opening up with Jon Snow, left bleeding on the snow, is a great idea, especially if they're going with the route of Melisandre resurrecting him. If Melisandre intends to resurrect Jon, I think there will be an interesting dichotomy between Melisandre and Davos, especially since she admitted that all of her ephiphanies were lies. Anyways, looks like Davos and a bunch of Stannis's men are protecting Jon's body, along with Ghost and some Night's Watch members. I can't wait to see how Jon's story-line pans out, especially with the Tower of Joy flashback, which I'll talk about next.
- Young Ned. Arthur Dayne. Tower of Joy. This is easily one of my most anticipated moments of the entire series. Will we see the bleeding Lyanna Stark say to her brother, "Promise me Ned"? Will we finally get some confirmation of the R+L=J theory? Who knows, Bran and Lor San Tekka (whoops, meant the Three-Eyed Raven), will take us on an incredible flashback journey that we saw briefly in last season's Cersei scene. Besides the Tower of Joy, I would love to see Aerys ordering the deaths of Ned's older brother and father (and possibly their actual executions because I'm a sick SOB). I would also love to see Rhaegar give the blue flower headdress to Lyanna and possibly Aerys's death/Robert's ascension to the iron throne. Who knows, but I'm glad we'll get to see Bran in a new perspective this season. Oh yeah, and where the hell is Rickon and Osha?
- The Boltons. Not too much was revealed in the trailer, but I suspect Ramsay will be writing a certain pink letter very soon. Ramsay and Roose will probably be on the hunt for Theon and Sansa, especially because without Sansa, the Boltons will lose their grip on the North. The North remembers, guys. The burning, flaying corpse was an interesting addition as well. Is Melisandre with the Bolton's now? Hope not.
- "In fair Meereen, where we lay our scene." The city is in chaos already, and without their queen, it's up to Tyrion and Varys to rule. It looks like the pyramid was actually bombed, but that could be one of Dany's dragons. So, if the Sons of the Harpy are still out and about, where does that leave Tyrion to fight them off? After all, I believe Tyrion is pretty equipped with sieges (I mean, he got a badass scar from the failed siege of King's Landing for God's sake). And, as the trailer depicted, Tyrion may let Dany's other two dragons free. I don't mean that they'll go off and about, but I think they'll try to fight off the Harpy and possibly invaders from the other Slaver's Bay cities.
- Now, where the hell did Dany go? The trailer made the Dothraki seem more united than Season One depicted. I'm glad we'll see a new side of the Dothraki, especially since they hinted in another trailer that Dany is "the queen of nothing." Badass. Dany's story-line is interesting, especially with this fault in her plan. Since it looks like the Unsullied and older Dothraki soldiers are diminishing in size, it will be interesting to see how Dany readjusts herself in Meereen once Jorah and Daario free her. I wonder how that may impact her plans to invade Westeros. Speaking of Jorah and Daario, Jorah's greyscale is gonna get worse and ugly. I think Dany and Daario will learn of this eventually, but quite frankly, I don't know what they'll do with him. I still believe Daario is behind the Harpies, given how mysterious he was when we first met him.
- Still on Essos with Arya. Poor, poor, Arya. Arya is a very unique character, who's story-line kind of fluctuated last season. It was good at some points, but it was very inconsistent. So, now if she's blind, how will she become a faceless woman? How will Jaquen and the others treat her? Will she be able to see again? Probably.
- The Ironborn. The Greyjoys are gonna get more screen time this season, which is awesome. So, from the looks of the trailer, Yara (Asha) is apparently into girls, Euron is gonna f*ck sh*t up, and Aeron and Victarion are no where to be found. The bridge scene with Euron is an awesome nod to the books and I won't spoil it, but, it's gonna be a pivotal moment in the season. I wonder if Balon and Yara will know of Theon's escape from Winterfell and if they'll try and rescue him and Sansa, given the hostility Greyjoys and Starks have with each other.
- Theon and Sansa survived their fall. Surprise. There wasn't much revealed in their portion of the trailer, but it does look like the Bolton's find them. Is Theon possibly the flayed corpse on the Bolton X?
- Now, the highlights of the trailer, Cersei vs. the Faith Militant. Last season, Cersei was humiliated by walking in the streets naked with a nun yelling, "shame". This season, she chooses violence. The High Sparrow will need to rethink his strategies, especially since the Frankenstein-esque Mountain is on Cersei's side. On top of this, Cersei now has a burden to bear, with two out of her three children now deceased. She isn't gonna be fighting with the Faith Militant over her transgressions with Robert, but rather she will fight for her family. And it does look like Cersei and Jaime will have another go this season. Yay, more incest! I'm a little curious about what Jaime and Bronn will do this season, now that they don't have a mission to complete. Also, where the hell is Brienne?
Lots of questions and I expect we'll get a lot (most) of them answered this season. I cannot wait.

Lots of questions and I expect we'll get a lot (most) of them answered this season. I cannot wait. -Super excited for all of the Bran visions we're going to see this season. I hope they basically rip the fight scene directly from the books. Really hoping we get this line at the very least: “And now it begins,” said Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning. He unsheathed Dawn and held it with both hands. The blade was pale as milkglass, alive with light. “No,” Ned said with sadness in his voice. “Now it ends.” -I think Osha and Rickon are with the Umbers in the show. -I think the time has passed for the pink letter. And imo, Ramsay isn't the author anyway. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the Boltons had a hand in Jon's death, though. They did want to off him back in season four. -I'm thinking Tyrion might try to use the dragons to fight the Harpies, but things go horribly wrong and chaos erupts. -I don't know if Victarion is in the show. I would like him to be, but the role he has in the books is kind of obsolete in the show. -I'm guessing they might send Jaime off to where he goes in AFFC, and have Bronn tag along with him. Brienne still looks to be in the North, so I assume she's meant to find and save Theon/Sansa from the Boltons.

GOT is currently my favorite show on TV. I've never read the books and have no plans to while the show is active. But I'm actually glad that the new book hasn't come out because now NO ONE knows what to expect (granted there are smaller events and plotlines from the book that haven't occurred in the show and vice versa). I think it's cool that all of us fans, bookreaders or not, are going in head first into the unknown.
Only one more month!!!!!

I don't have HBO (and I don't read the books) so I have to wait for the GoT DVDs or a free HBO preview weekend to binge watch the show. I'm caught up to the end of season 5. So, if anyone can PM me and fill me in on Jon Snow's fate I would appreciate it. He looked pretty f'ing dead to me but I've seen spoiler tidbits saying he isn't...or he is but will be resurrected...or some other weird sh*t. Don't worry about spoiling it for me; I want to know because he was just about the last character I liked and if he really is dead then I won't be in any rush to watch season 6. Thanks.

Last season was the weakest one yet. I think the only episode I enjoyed was John's. I'm just hoping it improves for S6. I am looking forward to seeing Brandon Stark's storyline to resume though.

Im conflicted because I love the Lanister Story lines but I can't stand the Targaryon Story line.
As for Jon I think they will revive him with that god of light magic they used to revive the rebel leader some seasons ago.
I can't wait to see what happens with Ramsey, at times I dislike him for being an all around ahole but that's what I like about him. He's insane and it mixes things up.
I just hope they include Bran's story line into this season.

New trailer: So excited for this season. These two weeks can't go by fast enough. Spoilers: It looks like Brienne and Pod are with the Tullys! Really excited to see where that is headed.
