Regal said he is going to spend the next week determining who should deserve those title opportunities. Eva Marie grabs a mic and mentions that Emma stole her title a few weeks back, and both Emma and her championship have been missing ever since. Regal promises to get to the bottom of that situation tonight. The Brian Kendrick’s song hits. Kendrick comes down to the ring with the NXT Womens Title. (Only The Brian Kendrick could get away with that madness). Kendrick says to Eva that he has recovered her title and he tells Eva to make him proud as her trainer at Wrestlemania. Smackdown TV – 3/12/16
New WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman open Smackdown. Heyman gets on the mic and begins to cut a promo about how Brock is going to be Champion for as long as he damn well pleases. Triple H comes out to remind Brock about his title defense against Undertaker at Fast Lane. The Game says that since Brock wants to push Authority, he will be competing tonight on Smackdown as well. Triple H announces Brock Lesnar vs. Dolph Ziggler in the main event. Triple H leaves the ramp as Brock & Heyman depart the ring to prepare for later tonight.
After the break, The Bunny is seen sitting in the crowd. The Bunny is shown on the Titan Tron. He stands up and waives to the audience. The League of Nations’ theme hits. Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio & Rusev all come down to approach The Bunny at ringside. Sheamus says, “Hey Barrett looking at this Fella. You want to talk about someone looking stupid.” Barrett says, “If it were up to me I would give this animal a royal beatdown.” Del Rio grabs the mic next and tells Bunny, “He is a disgrace to his family.” Finally Rusev speaks. “I challenge you.” Rusev says to The Bunny. The Bunny shakes his head no, but before he can sit back down, Rusev slaps him and arm drags The Bunny over the ringside barracade. Rusev picks up The Bunny and tosses him into the ring. The bell sounds.
Jerry Lawler: Are we really having a match here? I love it.
Mean Gene: It appears so King. I have seen some acts of cowardice in my career. But this takes the cake.
Jerry Lawler: Kick him in the Jelly Beans Rusev
Christian: I don’t think the Peeps are appreciating this Beat Down from the League of Nations
Rusev stomps on The Bunny’s back and puts him in The Accolade. The Bunny has no choice but to tap out instantly. The Social Outcasts theme hits. Adam Rose, Heath Slater, Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel run down to make the save. The League of Nations disperses quickly. Rose is devastated about this beat down of a man near and dear to his heart. “There will likely be redemption for this,” says Mean Gene.
Backstage: Chris Jericho is staring at his Highlight Reel and JeriTron set up. Jericho says that there was supposed to be another blockbuster edition of the Highlight Reel tonight. However, Jericho declares that since no one in the WWE Universe believes that Y2J will defeat Dolph Zigler one-on-one at Fast Lane, tonight’s Highlight Reel has been cancelled. Jericho wishes Dolph good luck in his match tonight on Smackdown vs. Brock Lesnar.
Bubba Ray Dudley def. Jimmy Uso with a Bubba Bomb.
Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose def. The Ascension when Roman pinned Konnor after a Samoan Drop in a non-title match. After the match, Dean & Roman celebrate the win when the Wyatts suddenly appear on screen with a promo. Bray does his usual talking about fear with demons scare tactics while Harper & Rowan stand behind him. Bray says that your family (directed at Dean & Roman) will be squashed by the spirits of disaster at Fast Lane and as for the little elephant boy Neville – he best stay away from the Monster under his bed – Me…Bray Wyatt.” The Wyatts disappear off the screen. Dean & Roman look confused as it appears the Wyatts have challenged Neville, Reigns & Ambrose to a 6 man tag at Fast Lane.
In The Locker Room: The Dudley Boyz watched the impressive victory from the tag champs which just occurred. Bubba reminds D-Von that they have both beaten the Usos this week in singles action and at Fast Lane, the Usos will learn what it is like to get a Dudley beat down just like their father did – Rikishi. “Oh Testify” says D-Von.
The Miz def. Sin Cara with a Skull Crushing Finale. During this brief match, the announcers remind us that both The Rock & Batista will join Miz TV at Fast Lane.
Up next, The Big Guy Ryback will be in action as he is seen walking backstage.
Xavier Woods (w/ Big E & Kofi Kingston) def. Ryback after Kofi jumped up on the apron for the sole purpose of distracting the referee, Big E jumped in the ring and hit Ryback with a Big Splash, allowing Woods to score the pinfall victory. New Day Rocks in this segment.
Main Event Time: Champion vs. Champion – Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. Dolph Ziggler. Brock seems to be dominating this match. Ziggler is putting up a good fight when Chris Jericho’s song hits. Y2J on the mic says that Dolph doesn’t deserve to be in the main event. That spot is reserved for superstars of excellence, like Y2J. Jericho’s promo actually seems to motivate Dolph. Ziggler hits Brock with a few punches, then stuns Lesnar with a Dropkick. Jericho then jumps in the ring and bashes Ziggler in the head with a microphone.
Winner by Disqualification: Dolph Ziggler
After repeated head shots with the microphone, Jericho holds the mic over his head high as Lesnar stumbles out of the ring and leaves with Paul Heyman. Smackdown ends with Jericho holding his hand up high, with Ziggler on his back in the ring.
