I have been friends with Eric Young for well over 30 years, dating back to when we were 5 year old kids. I messaged him on Facebook after I read about him and Bobby leaving TNA. He said it was in fact true, but didn't say if he and Bobby were going to NXT. He just said, "we will see what happens from here." Tell him he and bobby should have left years ago. When aj bailed it was time to go...

This is a massive blow to TNA,with the lack of talent they have right now losing both of these men and guys that where die hard TNA company men to the core again is massive. The only true TNA guys left now are Storm and Abyss and thats truly it.TNA roster is in shambles with the only talents they have left in The Hardy Boyz,EC3,Galloway,Lashley,Storm,Abyss,Bennett and Edwards. If both Roode and EY show up in NXT/WWE then they in my eyes would be more TNA then what TNA actually is right now with them having Styles,Joe,Aries,Storm,Roode,Dudley Boyz and Sting.
Its really shocking to me to see in a span of just a few years how TNA has lost everyone,a few years ago they had a roster of Hogan,Flair,Sting,Angle,Hardy Boyz,Styles,Joe,Jarrett,Beer Money,RVD,Anderson,Booker T,Foley,Abyss,Daniels,Kaz,Sabin,Shelley...ect a mix of true home grown TNA talents and some of the biggest star in pro wrestling history and nothing happen and now look at the shape the company is in now.
Again I hope that bout EY and Roode end up in NXT/WWE more so Roode.I think he would be a perfect fit alined with Triple H and down the road having a feud and match with.To me Triple H/Roode has been a dream pairing and feud I've wanted to see for nearly a decade. If anything Roode could be a great tag team partner for someone in NXT/WWE possibly teaming him up with EY,his old partner who's in NXT right now in A Double or my pick and kind of a wild card Cesaro.I think a Cesaro/Roode tag team would be MONEY and would be on paper one of the most talented tag teams in WWE history.

TNA honestly just needs to pull the plug now. Its over. You look back at the golden age of TNA, Its absolutely mind blowing how many of the guys/girls are gone. They have lost almost their entire mid/upper mid card and main event talent.

Completely forgot about Roode and Young being a tag team with Team Canada. And as forgettable a team they are for me, I wouldn't mind seeing the two team up again in NXT.
Where's Scott D'Amore when you need him?

Yup hell just look at the tail end of the Hogan era and most of the guys on the current roster weren't even their and thats just a few years ago.I really wonder how a guy like James Storm and Abyss feel being the last two men left on the Titanic with both of them having their shots to join WWE over the years and yet stuck with TNA sense they thought that the company would grow into something much bigger, not WWE level but bigger none the less but instead TNA hasn't just taken a step back but steps back in terms of everything from talent, money, number of shows run per year, touring, product value...ect

Where's Scott D'Amore when you need him? Eric Young is actually wrestling for Scott D'Amore's Border City Wrestling fed in Windsor come early May I believe. But yeah, EY and Roode tagged up in the WWE too in 2003. They fought Palumbo and Stamboli of the FBI on Velocity in the summer of 2003.

I totally see Trips breaking out the checkbook for Roode. And he'd be foolish not to. I always wanted Roode ,Storm, and Aries to try their hand at WWE. One did and to my chagrin, went back to TNA. The other made the jump and i am hopeful that it works out. Now hopefully Roode does too. Young, I'm not as sure of. I just don't know if he's the nxt type or not. It would be fun to see though. I would not complain if this led us to Mattel figures for both down the line. Either way, they both accomplished all they can in TNA and i hope they are happy and successful in whatever they choose to do.

This is a pretty big blow to TNA.
I really do hope Roode signs with WWE though.

No. Roode is a shell of his former self and Young was never anything special. Solid workers, yes... but that money could be spent so much better elsewhere!

Well How many people left TNA since 2015? Just talking from 2015 until now I believe, Kurt Angle Samoa Joe Bobby Roode Bubba Ray Dudley Austin Aries Eric Young Magnus Mickey James Mr.Anderson MVP Kenny King Hernadez Low Ki and more that I probably just can't remember but TNA really started to take a nose dive in late '13 early '14 when AJ and Double J left whom where the heart and soul of the company and then their biggest and most icon star in Sting.Losing those three to me was a huge and I mean huge sign that TNA was a goner and no longer the TNA we all once knew. Also keep in mind with all of those lose plus other over the last few year what real top tier talent did they bring in.Guys that could fill some of the void left in the main event scene in the upper mid card. They've brought in the likes of EC3,Lashley,Bennett,Wolves,Tryus,Galloway and a few others. No offense to those men but basically bring them in and switch them out with the likes of a AJ Styles,Samoe Joe,Austin Aries,Sting,Angle,Bully Ray...ect is a huge step down and one that you real can't comeback from.

He said it was in fact true, but didn't say if he and Bobby were going to NXT. He just said, "we will see what happens from here." Thats cool. GFW sounds like a great landing spot for him. Just dont find him on the level of NXT nor do I find him entertaining enough to put on the main roster. HHH has always stated that he has no desire in just signing people based on reputation in other companies. He is looking for people he believes can draw on the main roster. NXT is still a training facility, even if it has the best talent around the world under 1 roof. TNA honestly just needs to pull the plug now. Its over. You look back at the golden age of TNA, Its absolutely mind blowing how many of the guys/girls are gone. They have lost almost their entire mid/upper mid card and main event talent. You make it sound like this is a bad move. Addition by subtraction.

Pay issues again ? how does anyone work for this company if pay issues last for years just based off all of these reports.
bty just thinking of the main event scene over the years in TNA when you had the likes of Jarrett,Styles,Sting,Angle,Joe,Storm,Roode,Aries,Bully Ray..ect and now the top six guys and main eventers in TNA are The Hardy Boyz,EC3,Lashley,Bennett and their new World Champion Galloway.Thats a massive drop in talent and also keep in mind the only main stays in TNA in Storm and Abyss have been put in reduced roles in the tag team division.

eric young took an opportunity and turned it into a 12 year run in the business. for a while he was truly there go-to guy for the filler aspect of the show.
he should just make a tag team with son of havoc in the indies.

I hope young stays away from WWE. Thought he always was medicore at best, incredibly annoying at worst. Never liked him from 2005 on at all.

Heel 2012 Bobby Roode, That's all I'm asking WWE, that was his greatest character.

Ha ha ha I find it funny how some on here are saying how Bobby Roode belongs in the WWE but Eric Young doesn't, yet come next Friday at NXT Takeover, if Bobby Roode and Eric Young hit the ring to help Samoa Joe win the NXT Title, everyone on here will be excited and cheering about it.
