Let me preface this by saying I am not the hugest fan of Laycool, but they both played integral parts in women's wrestling history. I want them in my collection and if they had decent action figures already I wouldn't have even thought to post this. However..... Mattel botched both of their previously released figuresThey are ugly, they don't match, Layla is taller than Michelle (who is the same height as Maryse, Eve and Kelly) and for some odd reason they are insanely expensive on the secondary market. For characters who constantly touted how flawless they were, it is ironic that their figures are among the worst divas Mattel has offered. The improvements needed would not require any new moldsLana's figure has new longer hips that extend the leg and make the figure taller. If they used those on a new Michelle it would improve the height difference between them, but I also always felt that Layla should have used the shorter calves that Melina and Naomi (B56) have. Layla should just be a repainted Naomi basically. The fact that they made a Layla in pants that made her taller when they had the molds to make her in any other outfit has always been frustrating to me. This Or this Or this would have been so much better. Their WWE careers were both nearly a decade longIf any two women validate the diva search, it is these two. Michelle debuted in 2004 and Layla in 2006, and both of their runs were longer than Trish Stratus'. In my opinion surpassing Trish's ability in the ring. They had decorated runs with the company and retired amicaballyMichelle McCool is a 2 time Women's Champion, the inaugural and 2 time Divas Champion, 2010 Diva of the Year, and the only Unified Divas Champion in history. Layla was the 2006 Diva Search winner, the first and only Diva Search winner to win the Women's Championship, and one of only 5 women to hold both the Women's and Divas Championships, a list that McCool is also on. They were a big deal as far as history is concerned. If Umaga can get a Flashback, these two should already be in developmentI watched wrestling on a regular basis when Umaga was in the middle of his undefeated streak, and I remember his JAKKS figures being pretty easy to find. His Elite is warming all over the place these days, and I just don't think aside from being part of a famous wrestling family he did anything that great. Umaga changed the rules of what a Flashback could be in my opinion. I was only looking at 2002-2005 at the latest as possibilities, but if 2006-2009 is on the table, I want these and Candice Michelle right now. The BFF Women's Championship would be a great accessory

Umaga was in a few WWE Championship matches and was one of Cena's first rivalries as "the guy". He's more important than them, come on now lol

It has to be stupidest finisher ever. Irrelevant. He was still in a high profile feud with Cena in the beginning of his stages as the guy and was in the match that helped WM 23 secure one of their biggest buyrates ever thanks to Donald Trump. He was an important part in the early days of Cena and is essential to any RA collection.

He was your typical monster heel, while Laycool were basically at the center of the women's division for 2-3 years. I agree I'd love to see a flashback set of these two!

Did you miss the part where I said he was one of Cena's first big rivals and an important part in a match that led to one of their biggest PPV buyrates ever? What did they ever do that was memorable in any way besides carry around pieces of a broken title?

He's more important than them, come on now lol Dude, R-Truth had a WWE Title match, don't act like getting a shot is that big of a deal. Also, Umaga was built up for only two reasons. 1 to be fed to Cena. 2 to be fed to Lashley. I fully agree with the OP. If people like Umaga and Magnum TA can get flashbacks, so should people like Lay-Cool.

Also he was one of the requested people folks wanted as a figure. LayCool, while big staples in the Divas division and worthy of a redo, don't have merch deals anymore. I did wished Mattel did another Layla while she was under contract but during that time, they weren't pumping out Diva figures. Mattel won't take another crack at LayCool until there is a big enough demand and they sign Legend deals.

I definitely thought we were going to get another Layla before she was done. I actually like the Layla figure, seemingly more than most anyway. McCool looked nothing like her. I had two of those figures at one point and I got rid of them a long time ago.
This is something I can definitely get behind and would buy. LayCool was awesome for the 09-10 years. I think the ship has sailed though. We're not really in the habit of getting too many Flashback Divas as it stands. Unfortunately, we still don't have stuff like Luna, Sherri, or Sable. Seems like it would be pretty low on the priority list.

The Samoan Spike is a ing sweet ass finisher. Great in its simplicity. And it wasn't stolen from AJ Styles. Neither sells for that much in eBay. McCool is like $30-$40 loose and like $40-60 on card. Layla us less than $20 loose.

If your reason for wanting another set of them is because their first figures were ugly than Mattel would need to redo 85-90% of their Divas for the same reason. Even in their non WWE lines most times the female figures based off real women don't look very good. Gal Godot WW is the latest. But even Jakks females more times than not didn't look like them. As good as Gentle Giant Studios is their female scans are usually off.

The way that the OP is making a case for Laycool makes it seem like in ten years someone will be asking for Renee Young. You can ask Mattel to make a Laycool Flashback- and maybe in another ten years it will make more sense- but you know that if they make the figures... they won't be... FLAWLESS.

Is this serious? Umaga was a big part of the RA era and was an upper carder during his entire run so please explain how Laycool are more deserving than him. Also a thumb to the throat would be extremely painful and just as dangerous as the curb stomp and sweet chin music.
Another thing lots of mid carders from the New Generation and Attitude Era have been made so what's the deal with an upper carder from the RA era?

You know what I just remembered? Kelly Kelly pinned Michelle McCool to retain Edge's WHC on an episode of Smackdown. Title matches don't mean s***. I laid it all out in the first post, feel free to disagree.

I'd buy them. Had both of the originals, got rid of both. The scales wasn't that big an issue for ME, but I can tell it is for some folks.
