Rikishi is like $40
Vader is like $30
I'm confused why people are paying close to/ or $100 for these

I don't. If I didn't want it enough to preorder from RSC and I don't find it in the stores or sold by Amazon then I just don't get it.

I don't go over 30 dollars for a loose figure. Just can't justify it. Only figures I'm still hunting for is Yoshi Tatsu and CM Punk in yellow & black. I want them but not enough to drop 50 bones on. With a new King Booker and Edge getting released this Summer, the others can kick bricks.

I actually bought the Vader on Ebay for $60 (including shipping) brand new in box along with a e31 Kane, so im kind of estimating 45 cuz i saw the kane new for 15 somewhere. But if u see that Vader online for 30 would love to see the link, maybe I'll buy it again.

I dropped a lot on bam bam recently, still have him MOC in hopes I can find a loose one. I wouldn't mind a re-release of him in his WWF debut attire.

Like 60 for loose complete SES CM Punk.
I could never do missing acessories unless the price was below retail or close to for older ones

The highest I paid was 35 for Purple tie taker, a striped shirt punk and a Luger.(The series of each figure escapes me at the moment.) Thats as high as I've ever wanted to go. Thats why I'm sure ill never pull the trigger on TRU Rollins.

I justify pulling the trigger and buying figures I want purely based on what makes me happy and what I want to add to my collection. I think it's great that people will spend $50-$1500 for a figure they want. That's the fun of collecting. If you have the money to put toward your hobby, then the price of the figure doesn't matter as long as you feel you got something that was important to you. I've paid $50+ for loose figures I've wanted.
As for buying the incomplete HBK, you could buy it, and then hope to find a loose hat and jacket later on eBay or the classifieds to make him complete. You might spend an extra $12-$15 on the loose coat and maybe $10 on the hat. I prefer to have all the accessories when buying a loose a figure, but I'd be open to buying incomplete if I felt I could get the missing accessories elsewhere.
Also, keep in mind that just because a figure is listed for a price on eBay, doesn't mean it's worth that much. Look at the completed SOLD listings on a figure you want to get an idea of what you could potentially get the complete figure for.
A loose but complete DM HBK Sold for $47.99 on 1/18, $50 on 1/19, and $36.99 on 2/13. So it's possible to get a loose but complete one for around $40-$50. As for the E31 Vader, complete loose ones have sold for between $20.50-$26.00 in the past three months. Complete but loose Rikishi's have gone for $38-$50.

Recently, I decided that I needed a CM Punk figure in my collection. I hesitated to buy one at mass retail because I always thought they would release a better one, you know, the type that just really grabbed at me. When I went to the 'bay a lot of his Elite figures were going for much more than I wanted to pay. I wanted an Elite for the colorful tattoos, by the way. So I waited. And watched. And found one with an opening bid of $4.99 that no one bid on, put in that last minute bid and with $4.50 shipping added in paid less for it than I would have if I had bought it at mass retail plus I got the belt he came with originally (E20) as well. I try not to pay more for a figure than I would estimate them to be at mass retail, though sometimes a few dollars more is okay just not double the price. If you're not getting good deals on the 'bay then you're not using it right and paying ridiculous prices only makes other people think the figure they have will sell for $50 when in reality it just sits there because the most someone is actually willing to pay is $5 (Though I would've gone as high as 10)
The most I ever paid for a figure secondhand was that Trent? that Mattel made and I only paid $15 for him on the 'bay because I wasn't collecting when he was first released and would have paid more if I bought him at mass retail but then had a Mark Henry figure I didn't care about. I figured paying $5 less for no Mark Henry was a good deal since I don't care about him, but yeah, Trent?, Curt Hawkins and a bunch of Sin Caras are what I have purchased mostly secondhand and all within reasonable amounts.

There are certain figures from the years I wasn't collecting (2010-2015) that I really want but just can't pull the trigger on. For example, I'm looking at an HBK defining moments (WM 25) loose figure with only the entrance vest for $54! It's the cheapest one on Ebay and Im thinking of buying it but just cant pull the trigger on 54 dollars for a loose figures without all of the accessories. What figures have you spent the most on? How do you justify pulling the trigger and buying them? I just recently got this figure on here for about the same with all accessories. I was debating on pulling the trigger but figured it might be hard to get later on so I bite the bullet. It was worth it to me but I see where your coming from without all the stuff.

The highest I've paid for a figure is $75 (Canadian) which would be 57 US dollars.

My 2k14 Warrior cost 700 gbp. And I don't know where it is....
I've sold some of my Elite MOC collection, having owned them all, and I'm now contemplating putting up exclusives where I own a loose one as well. Sticking them in at silly prices and if they get a hit, so be it. It really is incredible what people will pay.
I got all my other rare figures for great prices so don't regret that at all. 1/100 Toyfair 2004 Warrior, think I paid 150. Bargain.
I've never paid over 30 gbp for a standard release figure. Even Nash 16.

SES Punk is it for me. Just can't find it MOC for a reasonable price. The most I've spent on a fig so far is $50 for E17 Kelly Kelly.
