I've scaled my wwe collection down to 2 elites in a series, and sometimes skip a whole set. However, elite 43 will be difficult to pass up. I want 5/6 figures! So I will get what I can from the set. I rarely get basics and the chase belts do not make a difference in my choice. The economy played a role, at the same time, the wrestling collection bores me. I've spread out to video games, Figurarts, fallout, and other collectibles. I don't care much for funko pops, but mystery minis are fun (and irritating) to collect.

True its not just figures I buy either which sucks because then I have to spend even more money! Lol. BTW I like your Username;)

The US/Canada tender exchange blew up a few months ago so I can imagine a lot of Candanian collectors have cut back Yeah basically. I used to pre order sets on RSC, and now I do not because of the exchange. I wait for retail for everything now, and the only things I buy online now are older figures that I missed out on, and RSC exclusives.

Eh I just make myself happy. I try not to be too worrisome about it. If I can afford to keep doing it I will buy myself some wrestling toys

If figures come before bills, stop collecting!
I'll push my nose up here, I'm a Hot Toys/Sideshow collector, so $20 figures are pocket change. Man that sounds crapty. But, $20 today is like $10 when I was a kid. Maybe even $7.
If collecting is really important to you, look at your finances, and juggle the important things, and drop things that take away from your toy jar. Smoking or drinking will cut collecting doe quick. Sure, toys are far from a need in life, but if plastic keeps you at peace, I say collect. But vollect when you can afford it.

Thats sucks man im sure selling your collection would suck. It did I had to let most of it go cheap just so I could get some cash. Now I see how much stuff went up.

Well they are only $20 toys so I can't see how anyone with a job would have any trouble collecting them. For those who have to have every single figure whether they like them or not, I guess that would add up. I only buy what I like so there isn't much to buy at all so very little cost.

And I have a job. That's how I can afford to collect.

Just wait till tomorrow. The Shanghai express is coming. china is moving to a gold backed currency. The dollar is about to plunge in value making it even harder to buy figures.

I've been out of work with an injury for almost a month. Thankfully, that stretch of time has been very dry for figures in my area.

Hopefully, the $15.00 minimum wage does not destroy the economy.

Can't believe the ignorance about the state of the economy.
Here's an economics lessons for the rose tinted glasses brigade.
What caused the last crash? A massive credit bubble relating to houses.
What have the Fed and bank of England, and ECB done since? Pumped trillions of Dollars, Pounds and Euro's into creating more massive, artificially inflated asset bubbles.
What do you think 40 dollar a barrel oil spells for the economy? It means there is no demand..
Why is the dollar so strong when the Us debt is over 100% of GDP (a historically insurmountable number, ask Japan). It's a flight to safety.
Why is Gold 20 percent up in the year? Flight to safety.
The economy is warped. And when it warps like this, historically what it means is, is that the economy is fcked....and it only needs one major macro economic event for 1 or more asset bubbles to burst spectacularly.
Personally, I hope its houses....
:D

My kids first my girl 2nd but she works, and make sure All bill s are paid. I use to collect Mcfarlain sport figures and šolc my collection and used that to build me and my sons mattels so out of pocket , i spent more on shipping for my first 4 trades than anything.
