Hi There,
I joined the forum a few weeks ago, but i hadn't really had chance to look at it until today as i had a lul at work. So i've been reading and replying to threads most of the day, and then i got a message that says i have a warning level of 25 % . . . . i don't understand? Can someone explain what happened? Are we not allowed to reply to old threads? : /

Hi there,
First off, welcome! Because this forum is very active and busy, bumping old threads is frowned upon unless you have something insightful to add to the thread that would revive it. You bumped a lot of old threads, and I'm not trying to be rude here, but you didn't add anything new to any of them except your opinion. I noticed you got cut off at exactly 50 posts, which I'm certain raised red flags to the admins because we have a Classified section that is only accessible to people with 50 non-spam posts, and we always have new users try to spam their way to 50. I'm not saying you were for sure trying to achieve that goal, but trust me, it happens all the time so that's most likely why you were given a warning bar for spamming.

And to touch on what screech said... hahahahahahahahahah this is amazing lol & lol this is funny . . i needed the laugh These are the types of posts that aren't worth bumping old threads to say. There is a like button, which this would have been perfect for. You spent about two hours replying to old threads that bumped back up to the first page without adding much. Quality over quantity.

Just don't go around gravedigging trying to revive old random threads that really don't need anymore posts/comments. I think that's everyone's biggest pet peeve around here lol. Just try and stick to the most recent and up to date threads and you'll be fine. There should also be thread with rules and do's & don'ts, I recommend you give that a peek. Hope both of these posts helped

ok that's cool, i just wish that rather than getting a stupid warning, that made me feel like an idiot, someone would have taken the time to explain that to me. Utilizing the "like" button is definitely a good idea, and i will employ that in the future, but holy moly, jump to conclusions much? Anyway, I hope the posts i actually worked on and thought about didn't get deleted. . .

When someone joins up and gets to 50 posts in no time by adding "lol" posts to old threads, it makes it look like you're trying to fly under the radar to get into the classified section. Or...you're a previously banned member...

I do however understand that lol opinions don't add much, i didn't realize how heavily watched things like that were, i was only trying to share that i enjoyed reading somerthing.

On the surface it appears to happen much more often than it should...so I'm sure the mods and admins squash stuff that we don't even get to see.
It's a tiring and thankless job.
Rule of thumb is that if the thread is over two weeks old since the last post, you might want to just let it die unless you have something concrete to add. If it's over a year old, it better be phenomenal news. Like something was cancelled and you just found out it's NOT cancelled...stuff like that.
