Stores don't order from Mattel. Wholesale toy distributors are a middle man.
www.abgee.co.uk/ and Chester toys are 2 of our big ones.
With a bricks and mortar store I could order direct from Mattel, I checked a year or so ago when I was thinking of starting an online business in toys. They will not consider dealing with anyone without a physical store I read you also you have to spend something like 25000 dollars.
How many independents are shifting that volume? I would imagine fair size players like A1 and Forbidden planet don't even hit that.

I think in a lot of instances they just aren't putting the stuff on the floor. My local Target will literally go 2 months without touching the WWE aisle. There are usually multiple empty pegs and they pretty much wait until it's down to 2 pegs with any product on it before putting anything out. Thus, Elite Steph, Bo Dallas & DDP have hit the shelves recently. I just can't believe that those haven't been sitting back there for MONTHS with the stocking habits and how old those are. That's my area though.

The company of Mattel does not want my money, they can't get any new product to the retailers near me within a 40 mile radius....I have about 15 stores a circulate through on a weekly basis, & none are past E39, I found a case of B60 once at TRU, then nothing since

If old elites were showing up in stores that would have a high price on ebay I wouldn't care.

Wrong. They dont sell in your area so the distribution centres of those stores dont send them Why do you live in my area to know they don't sell here? Stores put in orders to their distribution center. The distribution center then sends the order to the stores. Mattel sends orders to the distribution centers, not directly to the stores. There are mattel reps that go around to stores to check signage and build displays and what not. Mattel are not directly selling to you. Mattel sell to the stores, in turn..the store sells to you. Its probably just like the mix case from last year that was going out.

Who? Who are sending them? Who? : the same guy who was shipping out those full cases of E18 Brodus and E26 Warrior No, not at all.
Brodus didn;t sell, there were surplus, they (stores) probably stuck them back in boxes and redistributed to areas that sell more Wrestling figures.
E26 Warrior was made in abundance at the time because they thought they could sell more. They did as well. Everyone and their mother has that figure.
That's an anomaly, and a marketing decision.
This is a stash of figures that have been sat at the back of warehouses for years. Maybe it's been found as unaccounted for inventory, who knows. One thing I do know, it wasn't in Shenzuan, or wherever in China, and it wasn't someone at Mattel going, "Lets ship those 48 figures to America".....
NOTHING to do with MAttel. It's not Mattels business model to micro manage stock distribution. They sell to mass wholesale sellers and large corporations.
Those companies own distribution takes care of where it ends up.
It really is incredible how people mistake their own locality as representative of the whole global toy market. (Not you, just generally)

No you are right, they haven't sent figures to your area for months because of the unprecedented demand.....
I'm an economist. So yes, I know. It's not rocket science.
