Do we know why he's still in charge or are we supposed to pretend this was the plan all along?

The WWE wants us to think they are actually listening and care what we think.

Overwhelming social media support. Duh!!!
Really though I have no clue. Really devalues the Wrestlemania match.

Plus, I haven't seen any changes to RAW since he has taken over. What does Shane have to do with new superstars from NXT debuting? Just seems like a publicity stunt and everything is still being run exactly the same... Which is disappointing.

They should of had some huge mix up and if it failed just fire Shane again or say he's messed up lol. Could of been something new way to test waters

It goes to prove that the WWE can't handle strong storylines anymore. Shane's return should've been huge and him vs the Authority could've been a show stealer but everything has huge plot holes and why are Steph and HHH staying at home? Don't they feel threatened by Shane?

Shane is all of us
Steph just goes out and shoots
They have no long term plans and they are just winging it (which isn't hard to tell)

This is one of the biggest examples of WWE insulting our intelligence.

The thing is WWE doesn't do long term planning with these storylines. They make this stuff up as weeks go by.

Wellll.. steph did basically say that during the triple h thing at mania. Wouldn't surprise me if they believe it.

Its at the point where i cant even get into anything WWE does nowadays. I think WWE truly thinks we are just a bunch of brainless sheep. Well -- they're not wrong. No matter how much anyone hates to hear it, they're not wrong. And being savvy on internet chat forums, and watching indie wrestling doesn't change the fact one iota. Fact of the matter is, if any of us TRULY had issues with their programming, we wouldn't watch. Yet 99.997% tune in every. single. week. Every. Single. Episode. We buy the Network. We buy the figures. We buy the tickets. We buy the video games. We have them trending on Twitter. We make their superstars cultural icons. Even when we don't like a superstar, we still talk about them incessantly. And meanwhile they pilfer the best talent from every potential bit of competition, thus negating any chance at anyone stepping up and TRULY offering something better. Which would in turn cause WWE to have to step their game up. When you own the well, and you know people will come back for more water, you can basically do whatever the **** you want to do, and tell them so while you do it. It's basic business, and they play the game to perfection. Vince McMahon is a genius at this, and his kids, and HHH -- they're just as smart. So if that makes them the shepherds in this situation, someone, inevitably, has to be the sheep. Process of elimination.

If they wanted this to work they should have actually put effort into it. Shane should have come back 4 or 5 months ago to start building it.

It definitely needs a better explanation because so far it hasn't made sense. It's good to have Shane around, but they've just dropped it since Mania when it was all on the line.

Shane being back just hasn't had the impact that I thought it would have had. I feel like if he had actually won against the Undertaker at Mania (by outside interference setting up a new feud for Taker), then him taking over Raw would have been earned.
Instead we got some pity ploy and Shane makes random appearances with no purpose each week. Blah.

Another case of 'what they're selling, I ain't buying.'
It's transparently just a week to week scenario...which, if that's what they want, good on 'em.
