The heat he gets at live events is legit. Only Eva gets more heat in NXT. He needs to transition into a psychotic homeless drifter. He has that classic Macho Man crazy eyes look to him.

One of my favorite things about him is that they didn't bill him from another city. I was worried they would because of graves being from Pittsburgh. I love all the stuff graves says about pittsburgh when he's wrestling. "The crust punks on Carson street" is amazing, because there is truth behind it.

Feels like he needs to get to "step two" of his gimmick. So he sings and plays the guitar, wears multiple scarves... What else? Why is he a wrestler on top of that?
His promo last night was horrendous. "I'm going to show you that I am the Drifter, and you should have never drifted to NXT." Slap that on a t-shirt, hell of a catch phrase!"

I Donno but I am digging the drifter gimmick but yah I feel he will get lost in low Midcard when on the main roster unless he changes his gimmick.

I don't like the gimmick at all. It could be something, but as it stands, he bores the living hell out of me.

Him, Corbin, Breeze, Kruger, Graves, Acension (besides fall of man), Rusev, Bullfit, and Bayley should all be stepping stones for bigger fishes in the pond as to which why they have been used in that role with their over the top character and lose to a badass wrestler. He's garbage can't wait to watch NXT for Shinsuke

I don't get the gimmick.....in this era of reality based characters, to me, people like him and the Wyatts just don't make sense. You are employed by the WWE, you shouldn't be a "drifter" or some hick cult leader living in the swamp someplace. It's just unrealistic. Do the Wyatt's sit around the table and do their taxes together every year? How does HR mail them their paychecks?
Gimmicks like this just don't work anymore. Guys like Undertaker only work now because they started in the era where that stuff was acceptable and everyone was either a superhero or a super villain.
I just don't buy cartoonish gimmicks anymore and if you tried to do a new Undertaker or Sting in 2016 in a universe that has legit people like Lesnar, Ambrose, Owens, Zayn, Cesaro (even though him tearing his suit off is cringe-worthy), they would just stick out as unrealistic.

The roster has always been full of normal-ish people. Undertaker debuted when guys like Hogan, Duggan and others were on the roster. Sting's greatest feud was with Ric Flair, and the crow look was debuted at the same time that people like Chris Jericho, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and other people without weird gimmicks were around. The Bray Wyatt character could be bought as legit if he was booked like it.

I have some questions about him. 1) If he is a "drifter" (has no real home) and is often spotted in Pittsburgh, how does he make it to Florida to get his ass kicked by Apollo Crews? Wouldn't it make more sense for him to be from Florida? 2) When he sings, does anyone else feel like he's serenading the other wrestlers in a rather creepy way? 3) If he is a "drifter" then does that mean he is not employed by WWE? Or do they just pay him in sandwiches and moonshine? 4) Why does he wear so much jewelry if he's a drifter? 5) Why the does he have that ing guitar if he isn't going to hit anybody with it?

I agree about the guitar thing. He should use it to hit his opponents at least on big matches like against Crews or Nakamura.
Only thing i like about him is the theme as of now. They should change a couple of things and you've all already mentioned them, like accessories, the location where he's from.
But hey, hearing Graves always against him during his matches makes me laugh a lot. "For the first time i'm so happy to see him because what is going to happen to him!" (During his entrance before the match against Nakamura lol)

I don't really feel one way or the other with him, but I completely get why he doesn't use the guitar as a weapon. If he builds enough heat, it'll be a great moment when a face breaks it right in front of him/over his head.

He doesn't break the guitar because he is a musician and a musician wouldn't bust his guitar, they love their instruments. As opposed to Jeff Jarrett, who was neither a musician nor entertaining.

I think his gimmick will slowly fade away and he'll eventually end up being a big deal. I only say this because he's a rookie and he already has a huge physique and solid skills.
