Eye for An Eye (1996). It's an early Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver movie that has an ensemble cast, Sally Field, Kiefer Sutherland, Joe Mantenga, Ed Harris. I saw it many years ago in high school when we learned about vigilante justice. The movie has fallen into obscurity in recent years. To prove just how obscure it is, when La La Land Records released the soundtrack CD they only pressed 1,500 copies. do you know why the Kiefer character's name was Robert Doob, similar to "Bob Dobbs"? I saw the film recently, cool enough movie…kinda like i don't know, it's sort of weird in a politically correct, idk. But I was surprised it had a Cranes song in it. I had just heard of them maybe three years ago, and wonder if I had seen Eye for an Eye long ago if I would have wanted to find who they were/etc The movie felt like a big budget Lifetime channel movie

I have quite a few of these. Perhaps most notable are Memories of Murder, Rififi, Mystery Train, Brick, High and Low, and The Lady from Shanghai.
