WWE is such a machine that there will always be a demand for this stuff. The group that gets into the earlier stuff will get smaller over time, but I dont think the demand ever goes away. Opinion though of course.

Just how it goes, see it on ebay with certain items all the time perhaps items to do with wrestlers such as Hogan and warrior etc will continue to gain interest but in 20 years time people will not care about the Bushwhackers hasbro figures or Brutus or most others these current collectors tend to be 80's and 90's kids These Millennials won't have the same sentiment and will see the way their parents collected and Hoarded stuff and will be the opposite Plus I volunteer at a charity shop and 2/3 of things people donate we bin, as no one is buying the kinda stuff they donate nowadays as they are clearing some relations house.

That's strange thing for a charity shop to do why not give them to under privileged kids or schools or something? Charity shops are a massive scam anyways

On the original topic, here's the thing: these guys had a cool job, but to the vast majority of them it was just a job. To ask them to talk about it and share memories of what was supposed to come out, etc is like asking someone who worked in accounting ten years ago what the break room was like. It's just not interesting to them. Also, it's been about 25 years ago now, so several of these dudes are old and maybe a little grumpy and thinking about those figures being retirement money in hand. That written, strange that this guy would accept an offer so much lower.

Hi, if you have the money and that's all the source is interested in... how about politely offering him like $50 for a chat / $200 or so an hour for a proper interview. eg. phone/skype/prepare and forward question/shoot style. Explain politely the price you paid the re-seller for Taker which should indicate your level of interest etc

Very nice addition. Great to see items like this - wrestling figure history.
Most of those who have been on this board for a number of years will remember me - I still pop in for a check on what's been happening in the market every now and again but other commitments have taken me away from the hobby.
Just on the initial post - I've dealt with Ron for a number of years and found him nothing but a gent.
The thing that always stands out is that whilst we are all fanatics about what is the stellar Wrestling Figure line for guys who worked on them it was simply a job - Ron worked on more than just WWF (his main project was GI Joe).
I still own a small number of pieces brought from Ron (albeit it I sold some I wish I hadn't) and they take pride of place in my collection.
Anyway - congrats on the pick up and it's great to see that contacts are still being made and items unearthed to this day.
