What are some video games that you personally like, but lots of other people don't for some reason? I really like Devil May Cry 2 and Resident Evil 6. DMC 2 is mentioned a lot when it comes to bad games, while lots of people are 50-50 on RE6.

Manhunt.
It's not so much that many people don't like it as much it is that many people don't know about it. It's one of my favorite games of all time. There was so much potential with that franchise, but it became the center of a huge violence controversy and was eventually pulled off shelves. They made a sequel with the violence censored (although a code could undo this), but by that time the damage was done.
I always hoped Rockstar would revisit the title at some point because they could make an amazing game with today's hardware. But after 13 years it looks like it really is over.

The original two Witcher games. Literally not a soul I know played or enjoyed them but they loooove Witcher 3 but have no idea of the story.

I wouldn't say people dislike the game, but I do prefer Final Fantasy VIII over Final Fantasy VII.

I like DmC significantly more than every other Devil May Cry. The original two Witcher games. Literally not a soul I know played or enjoyed them but they loooove Witcher 3 but have no idea of the story. Most people really liked Witcher 2. All the people raving about it was the only reason I ever played it. |

I wouldn't say people dislike the game, but I do prefer Final Fantasy VIII over Final Fantasy VII.  FF VIII was a fantastic game though. |

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. Granted, I only played it post-patch where they added two levels, added new characters (including the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), fixed a ton of glitches & allowed you to effectively ignore the slam feature. Had I played it at release, I likely would've hated it as much as the rest, especially with how much I hated the Slam feature from what little I've played with it (granted, I've still used it since but now that I need to double-tap triangle to do so, it isn't a game ruiner). I've got 85% of the trophies though I'll never platinum it but the point is I spent a lot of time with it & found it a lot of fun. Probably not worth $60 & not as good as the older installments but still a fun game in my opinion.

Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness would be the most prominent one for me. Sure, it's not as good as previous or subsequent Tomb Raider games, but I thought it was pretty good all in all. Of course, I only paid $10 for it years after it was first released. Can definitely see how some folks would be upset forking over $60 for it.

WET. I have not met anyone else that enjoyed that game. Well you've met someone now. I really enjoyed that game, and I don't get the hate for Eliza Dushku's voice acting in it either. |

Duke Nukem Forever for me, alot of the criticisms were ridiculous such as it was too misogynistic, like what kind stupid "criticism" is that, especially in a Duke Nukem game
WWE2k15, i went FULLY knowing it wasn't gonna be GOTY or hell, even a great game; i went knowing that it would be a decent game and waited til I paid a decent price for it

I'm having a hard time thinking of one because really, most games that are "hated" aren't hated at all. Just because a game isn't as well received as its predecessor or follow-up doesn't mean that it's hated. Games like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Sonic Heroes, Streets of Rage 3, and Metal Gear Solid 4 are all like that. Their haters are incredibly loud, but minuscule.
I guess Shinobi on 3DS would be it, but even that's more forgotten than disliked.
