We've all seen it, many figures that have been ripped open in-stores just for the belts. I once saw like 5 Razor Roman DMs with their belts missing! This is just ridiculous. Easy resolution, sell some elite belt packs. A pack with all the current WWE titles, a pack of NXT Titles, a pack of Ruthless Aggression era titles, a pack of Attitude Era titles, a pack of classic titles, a pack of ECW Titles, a pack of WCW Titles, and maybe a specialty pack with belts like the Million Dollar, FTW, Cena U.S. Spinner, Edge WWE Spinner, Ryder Internet and nWo Titles. I think we can all agree these packs would be very popular. And this wouldn't cause people to stop buying Elites because a lot of people buy multiples for various reasons already anyway, so I don't think doing something like this would hurt sales.

Make them 5 packs for $25...exclusively from...RingSide Collectibles!! Exactly, and I forgot to add that. Clearly Mattel wouldn't make them on such a large scale for retailers, so just make them for RSC to sell.

Mattel should just end the madness once and for all and go clamshell. It would be a little cumbersome to open and the packaging would be less glorious. Although I collect loose, so personally I wouldn't give a fuuuuuuuu It sucks that we even have to discuss such measures. It's like dealing with bugs. Except this is even worse because some bugs actually do good things (like kill other types of bugs). The people who steal are nothing more than SALs (sucks at life). These SALs are not only stealing money and hard work from a lot of people, but they are probably causing many kids and parents getting ripped off. And then it even screws us over because the stores can't move the switched item. I imagine there's a strong possibility that there is at least one person reading this thread who engages in that behavior (or the voucher fraud). Whichever kind of SAL you are... I would just like to say, from the bottom of my heart... YOU. And burn in hell.

I wouldn't make the RC exclusives coz the UK fans then get ripped off big time, the postage cost more than most of there items for UK residents that's why I'm so annoyed about the ringside barrier set, as I want it so bad but I certainly ain't gonna pay over $150 when most of that money is shipping, it's ridiculous, if they did this idea put them online only but not RC exclusive

They want us to spend $20-$25 on a figure to get a belt. And stealing from retail doesnt effect them too much because they already got paid.

Make them 5 packs for $25...exclusively from...RingSide Collectibles!! Why should RSC have the right to be the sole seller? It's selfish and not fair on UK fans.

Exactly. Belts are an added incentive to buy an expensive figure you might not otherwise buy. Never happening. Ever.

Exactly. Belts are an added incentive to buy an expensive figure you might not otherwise buy. Never happening. Ever. I disagree. There are many Elite figures that do not come with a belt and are still hot sellers. For many, a belt coming with a figure is just a bonus.

If Mattel made belts, microphones and other accessories this easy to get, the added value they give to otherwise mediocre figures would vanish. So this will never happen. And scumbags will keep stealing. It sucks.

I think Mattel does a good job of putting belts with figures that people would also want and not just buy because of the accessories.

That's not a bad idea, actually. Didn't Jakks release something similar at one point with like 4-5 belts per pack?

While it would be nice it isn't going to happen. Mattel shot that down that idea in 2010. Back then when they said it would cost alot more than $25 for 5 belts. They said it wasn't worth it because the lower the production run the greater the production cost. And if Elites have gone up $5-$7 in five years I am sure the production cost on that would be alot higher now as well. They also said retailers wouldn't want to carry an item like that, because of the high cost. And they could only make WWE belts. They would have to pay the artists who designed the WCW Titles, because they don't have the rights to produce them.

I'd be down for this.
I could go for some classic belts, and the WCW titles.

I've always thought this was a great idea and glad that you brought it up. I would like to have belts, but a great portion of figures that I collect don't come with them. I've wanted an ECW championship for a while, but I don't like CM Punk or modern wrestling. Once Funk came out, I was very excited because I got a figure that I wanted and the belt. I would say that you will get mixed reviews on this, based on what category of collector you fall into. I also understand that by limiting my collection to NWA, WCW, and ECW people, It limits belts and accessories that I would like to have too. Long story short, I'll take the belt packs.
