We get an in ring promo of this instead of some of the stupid things we get on Raw i.e. Fandango/Goldust/Truth/Breeze, a hundred recaps, mandatory rematch from last week, and every other type of filler we get?
Dolph has been great in his promos recently all starting with his one with Triple H. But they're not even letting him do it on screen so how are most people supposed to realize he's brushed up a lot in an area he struggled in and start to care about him again. It's such a waste having this be a backstage segment that wasn't even on Raw that could have easily been added in replace of some of the things I mentioned.

No but really, people who pay their hard earned money to come to RAW etc pay to see wrestling. They pay to be entertained, Ziggler is past it, he will never be at any pointer higher than he was with the WHC in 2013. So wasting time on a promo, that no one really would care for all that much is stupid. Believe it or not, the Breezedango stuff is entertaining to a lot of people. Entertainment > Promo that caters towards the hardcore internet fanbase.

Ziggler has taken nearly a decade to finally be trusted to cut a solo promo, and even then, it's either opposite a safety net like promo veteran Triple H, a pre recorded backstage interaction or on the WWE App.
Ziggler isn't perceived as a threat to anybody, he's simply an established and recognisable gap filler. Distributed on RAW as and when they need a face to fill the gap.
He could be a major player on the indy scene, it's about time it happened really. WWE has far too many exciting prospects to bring up through the ranks without Ziggler occupying a fairly useful mid card spot.
Everyone likes to complain about Roman Reigns, Cena, Sheamus, Orton always getting unwarranted runs in the main event.. but as long as everyone demands the likes of Ziggler occupy (and waste) all of the progressive opportunitys in the mid card (such as that throwaway mini program with WWE Champion Triple H), fresh and exciting new main eventers are nearly impossible to create.
If one of the red-hot NXT call ups had that mini feud with HHH on RAW instead of "we all know he won't win but he comes so close what a valiant effort by" Dolph Ziggler, a solid superstar would have been made on the cuff of WrestleMania.. it could have even been Zack Ryder, at least his WM title win would have felt more entitled if it was... but no.
If it makes no sense and there's no long term progression in mind, theyll use Ziggler.
On the bright side at least it was only Ziggler that got fed to Triple H in that mini program that convinced everyone that this was FINALLY Zigglers time... obviously it wasn't. The fact a prosperous up and comer didn't fall victim to that Pedigree is as much as positive for NXT as it is a negative for Dolph.

Ziggler used to mean something. Now his matches just don't matter he usually comes out with a loss after "coming this close" to winning. And on the odd occasion he does win the win doesn't seem to do anything in terms of his character ot storyline.

Got bored a few minutes in when he was repeating "years and years" and "somehow I'm the underdog" for the 50th time. The guy just isn't a captivating wrestling talker at all. He tries too hard to come across passionate, and it doesn't work. And the sad thing is, talking isn't even the weakest part of his game.
But kudos to him for trying to promote another match in this dead feud, I guess.

The issue that ha plagued Dolph Ziggler is all of the start-stop pushes he received in his career. Had they kept his momentum strong during his first push, maybe he would mean something today. Now in 2016, Ziggler has been relegated as a utility player.

Why can't this silly storyline end?

Truth/Goldust/Fandango/Breeze is something that WWE is actually doing right right now, so I'll take that, but I'm sure a good promo backstage like hat one should be shown.
