Love the idea of SH Figuarts WWE! I have a few of their Dragon Ball Z figures and they're easily the best action figures I've owned. I'm definitely going to get Rock as I've always wanted a good Rock figure from 2001-2002.

Wow! These are no brainer buys for me.
I love Figuarts. Their Star Wars figures are the best.

These are cool, but doesn't mattel own exclusive rights to wwe figures? Wouldn't that mean say Jakks could make wwe figures again? I don't get it.

Shouldn't be on the Mattel board though ; ) Are you trying to be a mod? Because as long as you've tried to, your letters aren't green yet. You either tell people it's the wrong board or you start fights in Warrior threads. Get a grip dude. Lighten up, it was a light hearted dig in the ribs, hence the wink. I don't like to be filtering through threads about non Mattel product on the Mattel board. Shoot me If I was a mod I'd have just deleted it and not mentioned it For the record I've never started any argument.

These are cool but they're definitely not taking over Mattel. I expect these to stay pretty close to the $40 point even after they sell out. They might increase in value by little but it won't be like DBZ figuarts or other lines. With DBZ, they haven't had a quality toy line since 2002 with Jakks. With Mattel, they're already making quality figures via Elite and DM lines. If someone doesn't want to pay $40 for an Austin or Rock figure they can buy a great Mattel version for $20ish. That option doesn't exist within other licenses, hence the huge price bump after they sell out. With that being said, the only WWE Figuarts I would buy are any Hart Foundation related characters. I'm still waiting for a good Bret sculpt >

I love high-end Japanese figures like these, and am a big fan of Figuarts, but these photos really suck. Can't see them well enough to make a proper judgement.
I will never understand why toy companies choose to let the first images of new products be blurry/dark/rushed amateur shots from toy shows. Why not just release some professional studio images online at the same time as unveiling the figures at the toy show?

I believe Jakks does make WWE figures. However, they are those 31 inch limited articulation figures. Stackdown figures are made by a different company, and again super different. Other companies can get rights to make WWE products as long as they are not in direct competition with the main Mattel line. This is the reason why we get figures in a bunch of different scales.

I guess there could also be price point and release frequency.

The final product on these are going to look amazing. they will be expensive but there will def be a justification on the price point. they will most likely have multiple hands, possibly extra swap out faces or heads and hopefully multiple accessories and they will prob all have unique sculpts.
these def wont be for everyone especially those who don't want to spend the money on them but for me id rather pay a little more for quality. I have a bunch of 1/6 and play arts figures which aren't cheap and I also have a ton of standard stuff and I love both but you just cant compare the higher end stuff to anything IMO

Hell yes! I have the Bruce Lee and it is one of the nicest figures I've ever owned. The poseability will be insane and the likeness and paint apps will be through the roof. Not dissing on Mattel, they make great work for their price point. These are probably gonna be around $50 each.

This isn't going to impact my Mattel collecting, but I'm going to be in on some of these. If they do a 96-98 HBK I'm going to be all over it. I wonder what the legality of this situation is though, if any.
My assumption is that these will undoubtedly come with middle fingers for Austin and the Just Bring It hand for Rock. I'm cool with molded pads as long as they're accurate. I think the scans look pretty great. Only thing I don't like, which is largely unavoidable with torso articulation, is the Diamond Select style torso stack. I just don't care for torso articulation in general but I get needing to have it for these figures.
This is great news imo. I love a slightly higher end option. These are going to come out much, much, slower than anything Mattel does though. It's going to take them years to even get to some of the major names most people are going to want. Right out of the gate, I don't want any of the four listed in Austin, Rock, Cena or Taker. So it depends entirely on who they put out for me to spend the money.
