Lol at Andy Carroll.. would take goalscorers like Kane, Sturridge.. PL Winners like Vardy and promising youth like Rashford. Carroll had 1 more goal than Sturridge on the season

I feel bad for Switzerland. They were clearly better, fought back well and then you've got a douchebag like Xhaka who doesn't give a and that's all it takes to lose.

Arrived back from 2 weeks in France for the Euro's a couple of days ago. Managed to squeeze in an Ireland v Sweden at Stade De France while we were there to make it a total of 6 Games all in all. Great trip, definitely enjoyed the South of France (Monaco, Nice, Marseille etc) more than Lens, Lille and Paris, although Lyon was actually really nice. The weather was mostly shocking up north too. Didn't really see any trouble while I was out there either, other than the Turks getting a bit edgy after they lost to Croatia in Paris.

I'll be most surprised if Ireland beat France. Also, inb4 Giroud scores with his hand at the end to make it 2-1.

I'm so sick of Mesut Özil. In the last 5 years there hasn't been a single game where that guy played well and yet he's always in the starting eleven. Whenever it's time to deliver he doesn't. Stupid idiot.

I could be wrong, because i don't watch liverpool Sturridge is a striker, he only plays on the right when they play more than two strikers (same goes for England).

Italy have been brilliant in this tournament.
Not counting the loss to Ireland where they didn't even try.

Italy is always a contender in every single major tournament they may dispute. Nobody masters football tactics like they do. Funny thing is they play the same way they did 60 years ago. And it still works like a charm.

So, as an American, i have no real favorite in euros, been rooting for teams with guys from West Ham, and then Iceland as they are quite the underdog
So i am enjoying this game, but i do feel for you English fans
But as an outsider this is amazing

I'm not a Chelsea fan but I'm looking forward to seeing Conte next season. Such passion. If the Man Utd/Chelsea games get feisty then Conte and Mourinho are gonna be something interesting.

Not surprised. 5 Spurs players starting, could see it coming. Bottlers mentality.

That's the worst I've seen England play in a major tournament, in my lifetime.
I mean I didn't have particularly high expectations, quarter-finals would have been pretty good. But to lose in the last 16 to Iceland, the England national team is at one of it's lowest points ever.
And there was no excuses either. At least with the 2014 World Cup, we had a tough group. In 2010, we faced a very good Germany side and should have been 2-2 at HT if not for shoddy officiating.
For this performance though, we were just abysmal. Nothing more to add.
