Im pretty sure you can scrape that off with your fingernail. then your not risking any other damage I was gonna say, spit on a thumb would probably do the trick, acetone or Goof Off seems a little extreme.

Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser works very well against paint smudges.

It's amazing how many Mattel's have paint mess-ups. I went to a Target today, and every DM GAB '90 Sting they had (4), all had a very noticeable paint screwup. Unreal. Good to know it can be fixed, but still ridiculous. Same problem at my local TRU with the Sting figure last month, as well. Come on, guys. Step it up.

BE CAREFUL! I researched how to remove paint and , both here and youtube brought me to using actual nail polish to remove paint. I have "Sally Hansen No Chip acrylic top coat" its clear, it wasn't recommended just what I had at hand, and it seems good, it has a brush, I just put a little on the paint I want off, make sure the nail polish on the brush is thin, do a little as possible , let it sit there for a second, and wipe it off with a sock, or rag, something clean though, and then have another rag thats soaked in water, to wipe it off and I don/t know how necessary, if it does, to prevent more of a bite to the plastic, and then rinse it off too, thats maybe to be extra careful? But I tried nail polish remover recently to experiment with and it didn't work, and it said it had acetone in it, I don't know though if its some kind of gentler kind so ……just to share..also if you want to keep it mint in package, you could hair dryer heat the tape to open it, etc. sometimes you can scrap it off too though, I have two figures (both elites if its sometime to those) that had a little white something on their hair, on one figure I was able to chip it off, the other I ended up scraping through the hair paint, and have to paint it back, but its just black so its not complicated. I agree with the clear nail polish. I've done it many times. You just put a little on the spot, then grab a rag and with pressure wipe off all the clear nail polish. It'll take the paint along with it. Just do a light amount and watch the hair and eyebrows so you don't get it. I just had to do this with my Kalisto who had pink paint on his upper thigh. Good as new in less than a minute. I use acetone on softer plastics (heads, arms, legs) and clear nail polish on harder plastics (torsos, crotches). Acetone tends to leave a white residue on harder plastic whereas nail polish doesnt. Sometimes it might dull the harder plastic but nothing a thin coat of semi-gloss sealer wouldnt fix.

Once again though and I'm sorry to be that guy... we shouldn't have to perform minor DIY on something we paid a pretty decent price for. Especially if you paid a pre-order price!

My wife used nail polish remover and a qtip but that wasn't working so she used nail polish remover and 2 wooden kabob skewers lol. It took her 20 mins and it ended up like this. I'll accept that. I'm so happy to have anvil The overall figure turned out pretty good imo

Haha
I use clear nail polish and a rugged wash rag. Brush a layer on the spot, apply pressure with the rag, wipe away. Repeat til it's gone, but shouldn't take more than 2-3 passes.
