So what is the difference then essentially? I'm holding an Elite Series 2 R Truth and a new Elite 42 Nasty Boy. I don't see any change in the hip joints.

If they are smooth and rounded, those legs just pop right off with some applied heat. If the peg looks sort of like it's threaded (like a screw for example) , then those are the ones that the legs are a pain in ass to remove.

The ratchet joints aren't that bad to remove once you know what's inside. I posted a video on how to swap them in the Fix Up Thread if you're interested.

Yes I would like to know this as well for newer figures coming out. I hate those damn old style joints.
Great examples of figures with the new smooth ball joints are like all the classic HBKs, MITB cash in/elite 37 Seth Rollins. And a lot more thankfully.
Crappy old system why it ever existed we'll never know basically the CM Punk buck. So guys like Miz, elite 41 Balor ect have this crappy joint.

Yeah man it's a bummer we never got a single Punk with ball joints. Seems everyone with that body size and similar attire (tights, kick pads) is always going to be ball in cup. Seems like we have some people that are interested in this, any collectors willing to keep us up to date on the joints for the Elite series?

Love this.
Mattel and wwe have to know about our massive community of customizers and making them all big ball joints would make it the figures that much more interchangable
