If all they do is fix the terrible submission system I'll be happy. I gave up bitching in the 2k16 thread about this, but if I could like this post a thousand times...man.

If all they do is fix the terrible submission system I'll be happy. Yeah, I don't like it at all. But the game crashing when you edit CAWs (on PS4 at least) is a way bigger problem for me. The fact they never fixed it, barely even acknowledged it at all, is pathetic. All the people jumping for joy when 2K took over - well, none of THQs games crashed like that. I can't think of any other game I have played that crashes like that.

I actually can deal with the submission system, but it could use some touching up. After playing like 100 matches, I got used to it.

I REALLY hope they don't touch the Submission system at all. It's great. Best system they ever had for it.
If they do anything to it, I hope it's just adding the ability to use Resiliency during them.

After a reasonable point, chances are you'll tap out, but you always have a chance to get out of a submission, in the same way that you can press X at the right time in the small hotspot with the Pin system after several finishers. Also, it's not really hard to escape non-Finisher/Signature Submissions so no matches ending via Abdominal Stretch from the A.I. The button mashing sucked because Submission moves never lasted long. The new system it can go back and forth for like 20 seconds. It's the best.

I've tapped out I think maybe 3 times total. All Finishers. I think in one of my first matches, I almost tapped to a simple move but I restarted because it was my first time being locked into one but that's about it.
I'm pretty intrigued what they'll do. All I know if it isn't the 2K16 system, I hope it's an all new one that can still produce that element where you have a slight lucky chance of escaping in High Damage situations.
On one forum, I read people got good at it by doing Elimination Chamber matches and trying to make everyone tap out. If you're having a hard time with it, try that.

Man I really hope they don't cut any legends. The only two I rarely use are Adnan and Mustafa

If all they do is fix the terrible submission system I'll be happy. What is supposed to be terrible about it? It used to be the Breaking Point system, which was just renamed from the previous button mashing system. Now they use this weird joystick system where you have a red and blue bar and you have to race the bars around and keep them together for a tap out, or separate them to get out of a submission. Sounds simple on paper but it's a royal pain because it's never consistent, even with severe limb damage. Annoying as hell.

I liked the submission system compared to 'button mashing' but I'm not against them tweaking it to clean it up. It definitely felt like the A.I was a bit too cluey when on the attack with the system compared to defending it. Curious to see where they go with it.
My main interest is whether they can make My Career interesting or not. I got bored of it very quickly, found the way the feud system worked was very repetitive and bleh. I get that's not totally unlike the real WWE at times, but I missed the career modes of times past where there were intricate(ish) stories. Even if they were a bit eye-roll worthy at times, they were more interesting than what we got last year. I'm hoping they get a bit more creative there.
What I'm curious about is how they incorporate the upcoming Draft. Presuming we do get a split in mid-June, will the game change to incorporate that? It's not a lot of time for 2K17 to change a lot (like a GM-mode, or drastically changing MyCareer into 'brands') but if it's not there at all it'll make for a very dated game right off the bat.
Other thing is of course the myriad of new signings. AJ Styles should be a shoe-in given he was on the main roster by the Rumble, but the 4 Horsewomen are musts (Bayley is the only iffy one now and she should be fine) as well as Nakamura, Asuka, Aries and American Alpha from NxT, and guys like The Club and Apollo Crews for the main roster.

Not impressed by Goldberg preorder, yes I'll get him but all his moves have already been in. Besides his entrance. Im starting to see a pattern...the things they took out are being brought back in as glorious additions. Kinda like Madden. I'm a Goldberg fan but give us SID or Jerry Lawler..or Hogan or The Steiners? I understand Goldberg is marketable...but he's always been there virtually.

They own WCW and ECW right? Do you think if they made a solid game with no bugs and offered Character pack every few months? Would they make more money or lose more?

Well most people who are really into the games pick up the Season Pass anyways so I doubt they'd make any more or less regardless personally.
