I don't think it's Ringside's call what goes up for pre-order and when. I'm sure they put up pre orders as soon as Mattel allows them to. Regardless, Mattel shouldn't want to have 2 months where they are turning away business because they are prioritizing a reveal (where dozens of series will be shown, removing E44 and B64 from the plan would make little to no difference) over revenue. Mattel is not turning away business in those 2 months. All the stuff that's been on preorder will be hitting mass retail during that time.

I agree with you that it is better to know the lineups and have pictures early to keep us excited. They also are no doubt holding out on some info right now to save for the comic con. But I personally think they will have preorders up for e44 soon and I think they will release proto images of the set on here in the couple of weeks leading up to Sdcc.

You know things like Jeff Hardy, Hollywood Hogan, HoF Cactus Jack being pulled. All three were either pulled right before they shipped to retail or into production.

Mattel is not turning away business in those 2 months. All the stuff that's been on preorder will be hitting mass retail during that time. They absolutely are. It's not a hard concept to grasp. No additional pre-orders = no money from people who would normally be pre-ordering the next series of Elites, Basics, etc. On this board, too many things need to be spelled out for people since it's clear they need their hand held for the simplest of statements. Read the words I say, not what you want me to have said or what you think I might've said. I guess I have to do dumb down my original point again here. Saying that Mattel is turning business away by not offering pre-orders for 7 weeks is not the same thing as saying Mattel won't be making money or that Mattel will have nothing to sell. It means exactly what I said and that is that Mattel would be turning away business by not putting pre-orders up. Instead of accepting people's money for their pre-order, Mattel has chosen not to accept their customers' money because they haven't put up new pre-orders. Unless you know of a way to magically make sales on a product that has not been made available to order, then Mattel is choosing to do without those sales for the time being, or turning away business. You can argue whether or not you think it's a foolish move, whether those 2 series will matter at all to the SDCC reveal, or whether doing business as usual is the way to go, but they are all different arguments. What you can't argue is that Mattel is in fact turning business away by delaying pre-orders for 2 months.

There is a set date they can be put up for order. The only people not making money in that time off of those particular sets are the sellers, not Mattel. Ringside not having preorders up does not mean mattel has not already sold them.

There is no way we don't see pre-orders before SDCC. It's still 6 weeks away and E43 has already shipped.
E44 will in no way affect SDCC spike of orders/pre-orders.
E44 will be up soon enough, likely with DM Warrior I would suggest - but if things hold true, our wallets will all be a little lighter before the end of next week

Ringside not having preorders up does not mean mattel has not already sold them. It still restricts and puts at risk the number of additional, repeat orders the distributors might make. Sure, their first round of orders may have already been placed, then again maybe they haven't, but if distributors don't know or don't have a way to gauge how many to order on future "re-ups" because of the lack of pre-orders and the related order data, it's definitely impacting Mattels business for the worse.

Not my pic but some dude on Facebook just posted this. Not sure if I'm buying E45's legitimacy because it's nearly all re-releases according to this...

45 is a nice line-up for those that missed them the first time around. I'm sure there will be some minor differences on them. 44 is an awesome line-up can't wait for them Koko has been a long time want in the line for me.
