I'd say yes, by a landslide.

Mattel is far superior to Jakks except for Jakks has the upper hand in legends made, and also the occasional superior head scan.
For example: R3 Tech Kane blows the Mattel masked Kane sculpt out of the water

I prefer mattel, I was skeptical when I first read Mattel was going to take over, I was thinking WWE Barbie but I believe Mattel knocked it out the park I will say Jakks really got into the legends, they made Ron Bass, Magnum TA, Billy Graham, etc

it's hard to tell...
Mattel has better detail and scale...
Jakks has better head scans and a lot more to choose from...

Mattel, by far. The head scan thing is an absolute joke. Mattel is far superior in 99.9% of the scans. I may even be giving Jakks too much credit there.

As a classic only guy I'm going to say it's not a total landslide. JAKKS had a way more diverse lineup & Mattel keeps releasing the same people over & over & over. While people trump the scale with Mattel truthfully a lot of the Legends/Flashbacks get saddled with hand me down parts that are not in scale (Mr Perfect for example). So while most will disagree with me because they are 14, JAKKS put out a good yet flawed product.
What I like about Mattel & what they they do light years ahead of JAKKS in are accessories. Some of the stuff they have made is astounding.
While Mattel wins, it's not as big of a gap as people are making it out to be.

Oh yeah easily Mattel figures have way better detail on the attires, and if you put each figure up to one another they are different heights. Jakks never paid that close attention to detail..

All I care is that I can perform a sitout powerbomb with my figures. That's my benchmark. And Jakks Deluxe Aggression weren't in scale to regular Jakks figures, so I never bothered.

Jakks didn't have the technology Mattel has either.
But yes, they have put out better quality figures than Jakks ever did.. Now if Jakks had put more effort into their R3 line.. This would be a different discussion.
RA were some of the worst actions figures I ever saw.. I immediately quit collecting when they pumped those out.

Can you guys just make a "No Jobber can post a thread rule"? For the love of God they everywhere.
Edit: Mattel come on Jakks always had the same body, he'll Rey was the size of the Undertaker.
