Is CM Punk even training? The past 12 months, he has either been injured or busy writing comic books and I havent heard any news of him even setting foot in a gym.

Talent is talent. Skill is Skill. I've seen Bob Sapp lose to guys that were over half his size. Size means very little in MMA. Bob Sapp's always been in it for the money, that dude will tap out due to strikes if a cold gust of wind hit is shin in the right place. he also came from an era when mma was still cutting the fat and becoming the rounded sport it is today. size, when accompanied with skill, certainly DOES matter.

Trust me, I know. I just thought Sapp was a weird example.

Half of his moveset is banned in UFC. How will he win if he cant perform the GTS? I know you're joking but I know a guy who's gotta be a big fan of wrestling and knows little to nothing about MMA. Anyway, he's always talking about CM Punk going to utilize his 'killer' kicks and gas tank and wrestling ability is gonna win him the fight. I don't have the heart to break it to him that he's going to be mauled. I don't have the video, I think it was deleted, but there was a short minute video where Punk's training with Pettis and he looks REALLY bad. This is supposedly recent too. Pettis gets a takedown with ease and Punk looks really really weak. Even if it is just training, that's not really a good sign. I also heard that they did some simulations or some test runs, forgot what it was called, and he's failed most of them

Not sounding too good for the man.

Not sounding too good for the man. I heard Punk went 0-5 in gym wrestling matches, 0-3 in BJJ matches, 1-2 in boxing sparring and 0-4 in gym MMA fights against Duke Roufus' students. Yikes.

I would LOVE to see where all this info is coming from.
I never even seen info like this for legit UFC fighters.

I don't know I just find it odd. I'm not trying to blindly defend the guy but i really never seen info like this on legit fighters.....it just seems weird that someone would have that kind of access to the gym.

It's gotta be someone inside the camp that's letting that sort of business out. No doubt. Sorry watching the fights. I'll get back to you

That's gotta be what's happening if this info is legit. Either way, it bums me out. He turned a lot of people against him but I can't help but support the guy. Ive supported him since the first time I saw him and I'm not one to just drop something without a damn good reason. I'll be staying optimistic for now. I want him to be successful much like I did Lesnar the first time around.

I hope he gets busted up real bad, retires immediately, and is never seen or heard of again. If someone in the camp is leaking info it was likely because he was a prick to him.

What the ever. I've never seen a guy as polarizing as Punk in my life. So many people just bitter about their own miserable existence. That guy has done more with his life in the last 15 years than most of us will do in an entire lifetime. I'm sure he's going to struggle and he could definitely lose, but he's the guy taking the gamble, putting in the work, and standing out there for the fight like a man. All the power to him for having the balls to do it. I'll be rooting for him. I wish him the best of luck and hope he wins.

If Punk lasts longer than one round without getting knocked out, I'll...I don't know, buy a Punk keychain for @majoraggro or something.

I was watching UFC Tonight. They were talking about Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. Michael Bisping completely buried Punk, saying like, "This is the longest build up since something, if you wanna fight, fight!" I think the s***ing on Punk came more after it was said that Punk said if he succeeds, he would want a title shot, which BTW Bisping is the champion that Punk is in.

Regardless of how any of us feel about Punk, it's a high probability that he gets embarrassed.
