Bill likes to wait with the important looks. But don't worry, it'll be worth it in the end... Leave the memories alone. First time I've seen this. And son of a bitch. Sure you can nitpick certain things about it but that, in my opinion, is amazing. I took about a 6 year hiatus from collecting, so I'm assuming the figure just kept getting delayed for "the right moment" then of course the obvious happened with the tape?

Well, 2015 started with red/yellow Hogans and 2016 was supposed to be the year of nWo(20th anniversary), so Hollywood would've been a great start, but those plans went down the toilet last August(?), with probably many other planned Hogan and Hogan-centric figures. A lot of people were reasonably/unreasonably ticked because back in day Jakks released both Hollywood/Hulkster in the same series as soon as they got the rights, and with Mattel, they were like,"the wait will be worth it", which it probably would've been, if these wrestlers could stop making poor personal choices. This kind of thing happens a lot, where they get a door slammed in their face just before the figure is about to be mass produced or the contract ran out or got suspended before they got around to the iconic stuff, recently it's Koko B Ware, and then there's barefoot Jimmy Snuka(certainly can't make one now), also Kona/Evil Crush, Repo Man, HOF3 Cactus Jack, whoever last year's 4th DM was supposed to be, I wanted 80s and 90s Jerry Lawlers, etc.. Thankfully they did make an ultimate Doink figure before Matt Bourne's family jumped on to the concussion lawsuit, and put out a superior Sid headsculpt shortly after the polarizing elite(I thought it was pretty good), and there are several other fwew moments, like at least getting out Demolition Crush before his deal was up, etc.

Just got home from hitting 3 toys r us in the Chicagoland area. Wound up grabbing a Renee young chase figure from one and the cashier was also a WWE collector so I inquired about the ringmaster. He looked it up and said that they have 11 "network special" figures in and they're all on the shelves but they're discontinued and he doesn't know when or if they're gonna get more.
Now, I'm unsure of how this goes as I'm sure a figure like the hunter hearse Helmsley is technically "discontinued" after the initial run but I'm not sure if that meant the entire line is. Any thoughts of this from veteran collectors? Maybe that's why we never heard about ringmaster coming out?

And British bulldogs as well. I understand the marketing aspect of it and understand their purpose, but with a publicly traded company, as you said, things definitely happen and it's probably best to just get it out there for profit purposes/"just in case" situations , as the ones you mentioned. I wondered what the deal was with Koko. But I do appreciate the info, I had no idea what the deal was (or that there was anything wrong for that matter) with Crush/repo/cactus/doink (snuka/king/hogan pretty obvious) so thanks.
