I always thought he was a great young actor. Enjoyed him in roles like Star Trek, Odd Thomas, & Burying the Ex.

Love him as Chekov but I first saw him in Charlie Bartlett. I was VERY sad when I heard this.

Only movie I saw him in was Burying the Ex and I thought he was pretty good. Such a tragic way to go. My thoughts go out to his family.

I'm saddened deeply by this news. I'm a very big fan of the Odd Thomas books and I never thought anyone would be able to pull the character off and this guy did it! He made me a fan for life at that point. Very sorry to see him go at such a young age and in such a tragic way.

This is awful.. Anton was immensely talented and was easily on his way to being one of the best actors working in all of film.. His performances always stood out to me.
I hated finding out about this, hate that it happened..
I imagine this is going to make the press tour for Star Trek beyond really hard for the cast and crew..
RIP.. Really hate this.

I'm a big fan of him in the Fright Night remake. I kind of actually love that movie. But yeah, Odd Thomas, the Star Trek films, and Charlie Bartlett are all stuff I really enjoyed and own as well. He was also pretty great in Alpha Dog, which I think was the first thing I saw him in. This will surely make Star Trek a fairly sad experience. Hopefully it's one of those deals you just get lost in and doesn't really hit you until it's over. Shame to lose a young talented guy to such a freak accident.

The theater near me were showing some of the Star Trek movies. The original "Wrath of Khan" and then the two remakes. Saw "Into the Darkness" and the part where Chekov has to go to engineering, Kirk told him "to put on a red shirt". I looked at my girlfriend and went "foreshadowing". I said it a little too loud and the whole theater started laughing. Yeah it's not funny and it's so sad how he died. Wish I didn't make that remark.
