Here Comes the Pain with Ultimo Dragon. Long story. i'm actually interested in the backstory to this Well HCTP had six or seven recycled stories for each brand, and the first time I played through a story was with Bubba and I was nearing the end when it put me in the "face Lesnar" feud and when Lesnar first came out, he was Bubba Ray Dudley attacking Bubba Ray Dudley. Hilarious glitch but I couldn't progress because Lesnar was constantly appearing as Bubba. So I switched to Dragon, played through the story and got into the Rumble as number one. Lasted to the end and Eddie Guerrero and Dragon both went over the top at the same time. I would go on to continuously lose to Eddie over and over again for the right to challenge at Mania when the story pulled a WM 30 with Dragon beating Guerrero then winning the title the same night. So the funny of the story is how I got to play as Dragon to begin with, then the fact that I'm pretty sure you're supposed to beat Eddie in all of the challenges leading to Mania and I couldn't. Then easily dispatched ing Brock Lesnar (the real one) for the title. A random little thing I'll probably never forget.

I wish they'd bring back the Rumble stats from the SNES/Genesis days. In 1993, the game would tell you what time every character entered, when they were eliminated and who eliminated them. Why can't we have that now?? I always thought that was such a cool feature.

I know the game kinda sucked and there weren't nearly enough characters, but I've always been partial to Royal Rumble for the Dreamcast.

The first game I ever played a Rumble on was Royal Rumble for Sega Genesis but it wasn't until the first Smackdown! game for PlayStation I actually won a Rumble in....I think.

I beat the Rumble match in the "Road to Wrestlemania" mode on WWF Wrestlemania 2000, which was very good, but lacking in story depth.
If i recall, the worst part as that winning the rumble lead to little--or maybe NO difference in the storyline, or trip to wrestlemania for a title shot, etc.... it was moot regardless.
But I won it on that game first.

(I think it was Road to Wrestlemania or something. Maybe it was called something else....I dunno, it has been like 17 yrs now literally. I transitioned to no mercy and didn't look back and everytime I have bought WM2000, all 3 times now, it has been a dud of a used copy....I like it but have wasted $30 on it and still haven't played it since about 2001!)
