I know this match only happened once in December 2000, but I would love to see this again.
Personally what I would do, is, in late September have complete confusion as to who the WWE champion is, and determine the new champion at October's 'hell in a cell' PPV- Orton will probably be back by then, have him moaning that he's been out for 1 year and deserves a shot, have Dean acting cocky saying 'I have been in asylum matches, and streetfights so a cell will be no problem' - Roman will do his usual uncharismatic 'I'm the guy' thing, Seth Rollins would obviously be in it too.
now that's 4 men - which would leave 2 slots open, well Brock Lesnar would have to be 1, you simply cannot beat a few brutal F5's in a cell match - this would leave 1 slot available - providing Triple H's ego doesn't want to grab it, I'd say someone like Kevin Owens deserves it.
the only unfortunate drawback is, where the product is PG now, a 6 man cell match today wouldn't be quite as smash-mouth and in your face as it was in 2000?...... although having said that Shane jumped off the top of the cell at wrestlemania so who knows......
thoughts....

The first match at Armageddon was really good, but I don't think it could work in today's product. Guys would have to fight on top of the Cell for a majority of the match since it would be impossible to follow six guys fighting each other in the Cell alone, and the WWE has seemed to steer away from guys fighting on top of the Cell with a few rare exceptions over the years. I also think Shane's jump off the Cell was a one-off - there's no way Vince would let any of his wrestlers who he needs to compete 300 days a year risk injury by performing a stunt off the top of the Cell. So, if you're taking away the high risks, fighting on top of the Cell and no longer allowing blood, I think the match would probably be a disaster.

Wasn't a huge fan of the first one tbh. I prefer just one on one in the cell

Jericho and HHH played it safe in their cell match and it was the last time wrestlers properly fought on the roof.

I loved the first one and it would be cool to see it again. I've gotten tired of the Elimination Chamber and the match itself has got very boring so a 6 man cell would be far more entertaining.

The Armageddon Cell match is one of my favorite matches to watch, I much prefer it over the Chamber so I'd be all for it coming back.

Chamber is tame in comparison. I'd love to see it come back but only when required. Not a yearly PPV, cramming 6 random guys in a match for the sake of it, bit once every few years when there's legit bad blood in a 6 man feud.

Yeah, but like you said, they haven't even really let guys fight on top of the Cell since then and that was how long ago? I have a hard time believing they'd allow guys to fight on top again for a long amount of time. And also, I thought Jericho vs. Triple H HIAC was brutally boring and probably one of the worst HIAC matches of all time.

Yeah I wasn't a fan of it at all and it seemed forever until they finally fought on the roof lol. Also maybe this is fake but I heard that Edge and Taker were suppose to fight on top the cell but they were informed not to during the match for some reason.

i like the chamber for 6 man matches. hell in a cell is a good way to settle a one on one feud.

It wasn't until he was standing on the top that he realized just how high up it actually was and decided not to.

If I remember correctly rock and Austin just fought most of the match near the entrance stage and it was all a bit muddled. I remember I was excited for the match but it just didn't live up to expectations.

Only way is if the Cell loses a considerable amount of height. Even then, it probably wouldn't work very well as few guys on the main roster know how to pace and plan a multi-man match well.

I was there for that 6 man and lemme tell you....everyone in that building was PISSED that Angle won. Me included.
Me and my buddy wanted either Taker or Austin to win.
That was a fun night.
It'd be cool if it returned but logistically it won't work nowadays.

Armageddon HIAC was one of the most exciting times of my childhood! After the Foley/HHH and Taker/Foley matches set the standard, throwing 6 men in the cell was almost guaranteed chaos.
The Rikishi bump was memorable, as was the exchanges between HHH and Austin. The Rock more than held his own in a match completely out of his usual environment, and the star of the show during the build was Kurt Angle, who snuck away with the win.
It was also awesome that McMahon campaigned to have the match cancelled then tried to pull down the cage during the match. It only added to the chaos and sold the danger even more.
A solid piece of attitude era gold. I would love to see it redone in the modern era. The likes of Ambrose and Bray would be right at home in the Cell, whereas Rollins, Jericho etc can campaign endlessly to have the stipulation lifted for their safety prior to the PPV.
Ambrose Vs Wyatt Vs Rollins Vs Jericho Vs Owens Vs perhaps Zayn? Or Cesaro? Or even Brock, to give the illusion that they're all locked in a cage with the Beast. I'd buy it.

I've been dying for another one since 2001
HIAC is in Boston this year. Maybe they'll bring it back and I can witness one live .

This was right after the switch to the overly large cell and they decided against it.
