I agree that I don't get buying autographs, but I do get autographs myself. I'm not much of a picture guy, unless the person looks to have enough time to take one. To me, that seems like more of an inconvenience, even if it is at an organized signing. Plus, I don't get photos signed, I've either gotten belts or action figures signed because I can display them somehow later. And for me, that is what gives me the reminder of meeting certain people.

I don't really see the appeal in general of paying to meet these guys. Maybe I just have too much pride to pay someone just to spend time (especially like 45 seconds) with them. Maybe I'd make an exception if it was my absolute favorite.

She should of wrote a big ass X or some crap on them or just ripped them in half. Or personalized them so they aren't worth crap. You wanna be an Autograph dealer so in bad pay her to do a sit down private signing and do it the right way. That would cut into the cheap s profit though

I'd pay $30 to hit that guy in the face. I'd pay you $30 to hit that guy in the face. So let's go stand outside his work/home and bug him every time he steps outside.

If I were her i would've just scribbled all over the pics and ing destroyed them. Lol I wonder how much having somebody do a signing would cost, probably a lot.

I've seen plenty of wrestlers/celebrities at autograph signings and I've only paid to met one. And that was Piper.

Usually it's a flat rate maybe like 1,000$ for 100 items and then obviously you break it down per item yourself and then add whatever to make some money. A lot of guys will do them with superstars when they are in that area already or they have to pay for hotel and air fare also. If they are in town already it saves that expense

I get why people don't want to pay to meet them. But to me, you are buying their time to be at a signing. Sure the promoter is paying them a fee to appear and sign for fans, and then marking it up for you. But if they weren't there and neither side was making money, your only chances to meet them would be luck, or stalking before and after shows/airports/hotels. Paying a small amount to meet someone who honestly DOES have better things to do to take time out of their day to talk to fans, sign autographs, and take pictures is an even exchange. But all that airport stalker crap. That's just rude, and disrespectful.

I didn't relize it was that cheap. How would you go about booking somebody?

If I was a wrestler I wouldn't sign autographs at all. My personal belief is a picture is worth 1000x more than a signature. I'd take pictures with fans all night, but would never sign one autograph. Can't resell a photo op. Being in picture with a superstar is a lasting memory opposed to having their sloppy signature on a studio shot, t-shirt, poster, etc. Can't put a price on something like that.

Unless you get it yourself, I've never seen the appeal in autographs. The fact that you met the wrestler and got it signed is the whole point in getting one, right?

Maybe I'd make an exception if it was my absolute favorite. I completely agree. I've been a wrestling fan for decades and I have yet to meet an actual wrestler, hell even some no-name indy guy wrestler. About as close as I get is seeing a poster advertising some ex-wwf superstar doing a signing at a local flea market. And I still have no desire to pay $20 or whatever it is to meet them (sorry Virgil!). I wish I could just bump into one at the airport and shoot the breeze, have a drink and chill until one of our flights are ready. That would be cool. A friend of mine got that chance when he met Jericho down at the bar in the hotel he was staying at in New York. Texted me a pic of their encounter and the irony was that my friend barely knows anything about wrestling.

I'll say this, I've paid to go to signings and I don't mind cause people are usually really cool and glad to meet you. I could name a lot of people, but the one I'll say is, I went to the performance center in January for the all access event (which ended up being on Swerved, Season 2). We got time to get autographs and take pictures, but that wasn't the main part of the event. But the first thing we got to do was have breakfast with the entire NXT roster, minus Samoa Joe and Austin Aries. So I'm literally sitting at a table and having a nice long chat with Bayley about lots of stuff. So I get what you're saying with the proper 1-on-1 time, but that's extremely rare. I spent time with Enzo & Cass that day, too, and they remembered me when they came to a house show in my city recently.

What an idiot. It's people like him that ruin it for everybody. I would have no problem signing autographs, if I was famous, but I'd personalise everything. Problem solved.

It's cool, plenty of people take pleasure in meeting all these wrestlers, or celebrities in general. That's absolutely fine. I guess it's just not my thing, and I'd never feel right about paying anyone to spend time with me.

I met CM Punk when he was champion and he didn't say anything, that sucked. But then I met him at a UFC event and signed a WWE fig for me with pleasure and he was cool. I don't know, makes you enjoy the product more when it appears that they actually care about their fans. But don't get me wrong, I've never tried to get a celebrity's autograph, mainly cause for them, you'd have to go stand for a long time at like a premier or something like that. I typically go when it's more of a guarantee so I'm not wasting time and money.
