Never bought a loot crate, but I know of their popularity. Cant quite understand why people would buy a box of themed items and pay on a subscription basis when you have no idea what you are buying. Not knowing lacks appeal to me. That's the whole concept is to be surprised. We lack surprise and serendipity today. This is why so many people collect trading cards - because they don't know what they'll get in a pack or box. Plus, the loot crate is something to look forward to each month or however frequent it gets delivered. The appeal is also that you typically get more for your money than if you bought everything individually. I'm not saying I'll be a subscriber, but I can see the appeal and attractiveness for customers. For me....its not my thing. I've seen some great things in them. Ive seen some crap. A few friends subscribe and seem to be happy. I think your analogy to a pack of baseball cards is a pretty good one. I guess the only difference is back in the day there used to be checklists in every pack. You could look and see what cards were available or even use a Beckett. So you at least had an idea or be using the packs to try and hunt for stuff. But most of the time, I would just buy the cards I wanted individually from the collector stores bc Im not much for the hunt. Same thing with figures. I would rather buy from RSC, have it shipped to my house and avoid going store to store.

I had Nerd Block for six months, as a gift from my brother and his wife. A couple boxes were pretty cool, a couple were okay, and a couple sucked. A real mixed bag.
I still wear some of the shirts I got, sadly they only ordered XL shirts and they are a little short in the sleeves since I'm 6'4".
I like knowing what I'm buying, so I don't get something I don't want or already have. But that's just me.

Sounds great at first, but enjoy your John Cena wristbands, Roman Reigns keychain, and Triple H mug.

Loot Crates have to be the biggest waste of money there is. "Here is some junk that is worth 15 bucks, we'll sell it for 40!"

I expect some POPs, random T shirts and Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas basics and elites.

I expect some POPs, random T shirts and Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas basics and elites. Certainly not the worst thing they could send. But I imagine they're going to ship out more classic stuff that they want to get out of their back stock storage or whatever.

Teenage me loves the idea of a box of random themed garbage, but at my age the last thing I need is a bunch more crap collecting dust. WWE-wise I expect a pile of garbage that would rival some of the crap they released in the Attitude Era (when teenage me was alive). I envision KMart caliber t shirts (a black t shirt with a giant picture of John Cena, Roman Reigns, or Ryback's screaming face on the front and their catchphrase in white block letters on the back), a poster with a bunch of random guys on it with the logo on the bottom, those ghastly featureless rubber thumb things from K Mart where they are all the same but painted differently to somehow signify them being a different superstar, a framed picture of Curtis Axel, those dvds dedicated to a particular superstar (actual retail price 5.95, and still none have sold), one of those godawful Randy Orton mesh masks, a John Cena yoyo, and a deck of playing cards with Roman Reigns on every card, but in a different pose. In my opinion, 95% of wrestling merchandise is garbage, so even if you got something cool like a pop vinyl or some kind of figure, the rest of it would consist of the aforementioned garbage.

If you are hoping for figures you will be sorely disappointed. You'll get a few decent shirts, maybe a POP, and a bunch of crap you wouldn't actually buy, but you just did.

I'll give it a try, but I've been pretty happy with Wrestle Crate.

Probably not an exclusive, but I could see a Mattel figure being included every now and then. I think we'd have a better chance of getting an exclusive Pop or Mystery Mini at some point though. I wouldnt expect a figure at all honestly.....POPs or Minis are likely. Maybe something like a stackdown figure or small set? Ive got a sub to Funko's Legion of Collectors that has some really cool stuff but honestly a lot of the stuff in there is a waste too. If you are hoping for figures you will be sorely disappointed. You'll get a few decent shirts, maybe a POP, and a bunch of crap you wouldn't actually buy, but you just did. My $29 WrestleCrate comes w/ Mattel figs and/or Funkos, DVDs, a T shirt and a signed autographed item. When you look at the autograph signing prices now, that alone pays for the box. If WWE takes the WrestleCrate model (1 Figure, 1 Exclusive item, 1 Autograph, 1 T-shirt), it'll be a success.

Loot Crate will for sure get better stuff than the other monthly random wrestling boxes. I'd be down for Lootcrate exclusive WWE Funko Pops.

I'm more of a Geek Box guy myself because Loot Create is a bit too hot or miss for my tastes, but this is still great news. Are they going to be doing a WWE crate or just adding WWE stuff to their regular crate?

I was hoping we'd see some more news about this after the licensing fair earlier in the week.

All of their items, including t-shirts, are exclusives I've never ordered any other monthly subscription wrestling box, but always watch the unboxing videos every month. I always just buy the figs I want, so getting a fig that I would already have in a box isn't exactly a perk...also one of those boxes have been putting old TNA figs in them, so hell no! The one that looks the best is that Lucha box that comes with a mask every month. Lootcrate is known for Funk exclusives, so the odds of getting something I don't already have is a huge selling point.

I'll be giving the WWE Crate at least one month's subscription. I'm probably going to cancel my regular Loot Crate after this month in favor of the WWE Crate
