The singles are fantastic, the two packs I fear are going to warm, Ambrose being the only new figure.

I have to get a Bulldog. I don't care if it's that or an Elite. Then I need to get some winged eagles and put one of them on him.

I need my paycheck! Want both Ambrose and Undertaker. Wish Undertaker was an elite...I should know better than to buy the basic, but I probably still will....MY WEAKNESS IS STRONG!

They went to that effort to sculpt a basic torso instead of an elite. They did make the last SS Taker in purple with the new tattered sleeve mold, and released the grey elite within 6-7 months, so im still hopeful. I figure the wrist tape is an easy fix just using the cuffs that come on his newer figures.

I've already seen them as well in both MD & PA. The $10.99 single basics are moving well, especially BB & HJD in MD. At 2 different MD TRUs, I saw 3 each left of Batista & Undertaker, respectively, at the first one. Then at another MD TRU, 1 Undertaker & 2 Batistas. I picked up one of each at the latter place. Both have an abundance of the Battle Packs (at least a full case or so). A day later in PA (Monday), I found Hacker & my beloved British Bulldog (last 1 of each on pegs, 2 UTs left as well, so I reiterate they are going fast; No SS BPs at that TRU however). At the latter MD TRU, I already saw the inevitable: stolen, oddly painted basic WWE belt from Cena/Lesnar BP! Not to mention an entire 1-2-3 Kid + belt (of course) mischievously/deviously removed from packaging, then maliciously hidden behind a Rock vs. HHH basic ring. Kids (aka pathetic adults/adolescents) these days...
The only minor luxury I feel is missing on the otherwise ultra awesome SS '92 BB is the slightly darker shade of blue on the back of BB's tights left leg portion. Surely that was just asking a bit much for that minute detail to be included (another color), plus 'twas probably viewed as skip-able since it wasn't THAT different, only enough so that I personally always noticed the left side had darker blue, similar to how Hacksaw's boots are a darker blue than his trunks & knee pads. I'm just glad I finally got this baybeh in muh hands, especially as the much-clamored-for attire. Albeit, as per usual, something fitting the aforementioned description--high demand, that is--I believe this to be another case, as do some others I've seen mention recently, where the Elite & Basic attire could have easily been swapped. But eh, c'est la vie, I s'pose!

One of your favorites of all time ("BB" DBS that is) & acting out a fantasy booked story line, as opposed to accuracy, I'm guessing? Inquisitive inquiry, I know, considering it's up to you to do as you please. Just curiously wondering is all... P.S. - Both look great with the era's black Intercontinental titles (maybe there are some extra DM Razors out there still?)

I had my winged eagle from Jakks on Perfect for the longest time, though I put it back on my Jakks Ken Shamrock. Perfect would get a winged eagle Mattel too. As far as his IC belt from the Legends Line, it's around the waist of my Rick Martel figure. He never held it. So I corrected the injustice because his model gimmick was too awesome to not be IC Champ.

Why should those dudes or say, Jake "The Snake" Roberts not be resurrected (see what I did there?) in a figure collection & continue being held down/back by collectors, just as some of them certainly were in real life, ya know? Even Jake himself mentioned recently that he hates the fact that he never got the main title belt for a run!

If there's evet a Mattel made of Shamrock (Why not from his 1998 Summerslam Lion's Den match with Owen?) I would push Mattel Shamrock to the moon as I am a huge mark of his. Roberts might get an IC or tag belt from me. Or even ECW. Another one who'd look good with the winged eagle would be the HBK RSC exclusive. Great look and gimmick.

Surprised how well Batista seems to be doing, I'm guessing being new and a flashback simultaneously helps that out, plus the scan (Evolution, etc.) . . . Also, hope Bill decides to give us another (possibly elite re-release of Legends, much to the chagrin of many) Hacksaw sans face paint, as cool as that touch was for this one. I'd still like a normal one. I suppose I can track one down easily enough if not, especially since it did have the two proper accessories. However, a new one COULD be slightly different by allowing us to "complete" the basic with a--dare, I say it--third accessory: Demolition mask! Yeah, right, even a simple attire dude like that would no way get THAT MANY accessories due to budget needed for others in the same line & whatnot, obviously. Ya never know, though...would be cool. Also, I wonder if 'Taker wasn't given the double "cuff-muff" on purpose, so as to woo consumers with another "better"/fixed version later (i.e. Elite w/entrance "cloak" or whatever ya call it from WM 14). One more thing as well: Roman WWE exclusive scan would have been far > same ol' "Cowardly Lion" smirk. But alas, the shirtless "Dude" shall be our only enticement (not enough for yours truly though until discounted when those BPs inevitably warm shelves this Summer).

Why should those dudes or say, Jake "The Snake" Roberts not be resurrected (see what I did there?) in a figure collection & continue being held down/back by collectors, just as some of them certainly were in real life, ya know? He never held a belt. Oh, I know, but he was specifically referring strictly to the World title when reminiscing. I'm sure had it come up, he'da gone in-depth about that topic too. I mean, like everyone seems to say, he was one of those guys/gimmicks that didn't NEED one to be over at any point. Hell, the fact that he WAS over killed a program going beyond the house show circuit a couple times with Hogan in 1986, since Vince was so consumed by WHO was being booed or cheered, as per usual. Like Jake said, "Does it matter? We sold out both times!" That's close to verbatim, but still a paraphrase. Also, I think the reason he even stated about not holding the main gold was the fact that let's face it: that's the one they ALL covet, or supposedly what anyone who has a love for being in the business should WANT to grab a hold of one day. Otherwise, they can get the [BLEEP] out, ya know? Nowadays though, and unfortunately so, some of these "sports entertainers" are trained/told to fit into a specific role, which is preposterous in my perception/perspective, quite frankly. Just ask Aaron Stevens (Damien Sandow) & Adam Leppan (Adam Rose), who referenced certain incidents & instances on recent Vince Russo podcast episodes the past couple of weeks! Furthermore, to that line of thought coming from even the likes of the beloved-by-some, future end-all/be-all booker/CEO Paul Levesque, according to their sides of the story in regards to portions of conversations between he & them, welp I say "POPPYCOCK" to that notion/concept! Shwew, anywhoooo my friend, I'm afraid I've steered off topic here, all stemming from belts being worn in figure form haha! So I'll halt the rambling rant here on all that, and spare the reading audience, by delving no deeper! P.S. - I agree with practically everything you've said & all your sentiments by the way, fair (presumed) sir! Didn't mean to hardly address your remarks & focus in on that one, which got me going on a tangent. Lol (I'll likely be killed by "The masses"- my best jaded Italian New Yorker Russo-in-Colorado-reclusive-seclusion impersonation voice)

It's not that there's a lack of talent, but a lust for power. I don't see the need to script promos all the time. Give talking points, but let them craft the words. Push who is over and not who you want to get over. Roman Reigns is what happens when the WWE gets what it wants. Bryan and Ambrose are what happen when the fans get what they want. Thankfully we the Mattel collectors can be booker whenever we want.

The battle packs have three of the worst wrestlers in the WWE. I'll be passing on those...haha. All the basics are fantastic.

I will say this: at least the BPs come with accessories unlike those WM ones. Then again, I'd gladly trade accessories for NEW-ish figures!
