He is one of my top wants to display with Tito as they had a great rivalry for the intercontinental title.

Big want of mine also, I would like to see a standalone release like Tito so that it can come with a robe & shin guard, no multi-packs release like Big John Studd got nor the rumoured upcoming Dusty Rhodes figure that will be packaged with a ring. They are releasing figures of Magnum TA & Tugboat, two niche wrestlers whose figures most likely will be warming shelves soon. If those guys can get a figure than there is really no reason why Greg Valentine (NWA & WWF champion) should not have a figure?! He was part of the golden era in the 80s, he is more well known and arguably more popular then the two aforementioned guys.

Hammer went in HOF in 2004 I believe with the revival of the Hall of Fame...

I hope we get a version in the regular elite line with robe/shinguard and then individual releases of HTM and Greg in the HOF line to match the Hasbros. And then eventually a BP with Brutus

Merchandising deal doesn't guarantee a figure will be made. Superstar Billy Graham has been under a deal for a while and no figure has been hinted at. Plus with guys like JYD and Tito warming pretty hard recently, it doesn't look good for a lot of the 80s guys not named Macho and Warrior getting made. Is billy Graham under a legends deal or a merchandise? I would think a merchandise deal fits under a figure.

And if Magnum and Tugboat warm then that is even more incentive for MDT to pass on making a Valentine. Don't get me wrong, I would love for "The Hammer" to be made. I will buy him first chance I get. But I am also realistic on how things work. Macho, Warrior, and HBK will consistently be made because they sell. Guys like Tito, JYD, Magnum are a risk. If they continue to underperform then other guys like Valentine, Muraco, Martel are less likely to get made.

Which sucks as I would love a purple tye-dyed tights Superstar with long blone hair.

Are you telling me that they will base their decision to release a Greg Valentine figure on how well (or not) the figures of these two obscure wrestlers sell?! That is crap and I don't think Mattel would make a decision on a figure of Wrestler X based on how well a figure of wrestler y sells, that is ludicrous!? Each guy should be judged on his/her own popularity and potential saleability as far as merchandise goes IMO.
I think they will make a figure of The Hammer but Bill hasn't figured out how to release him yet or hasn't found a slot for him.

Billy Graham signed a legends deal last fall (November 2015) so a figure is possible at some point.

There are clearly tiers of popularity and you can judge how one figure may do by comparing to a similar wrestler. Tito, Muraco, and Valentine I think is you can fairly group together. They were all over at the same time. They all got inducted at the same time. None were that flashy and Tito is probably the most recognizable name among all of them. You honestly do not think MDT will second guess any future plans for guys that fall into that category based on how Tito performed in the HOF series? Do you not think they're going to pay close attention to Magnum TA sales figures and judge whether or not there's a market for guys like Nikita Koloff, Kevin Sullivan, Midnight Express, etc?

If Beefcake makes it into the line, I think it only makes sense to bring Valentine with him.
