Who Da Best?
---------------------------------------------------
Brandon Bison vs. Cam Nitta vs. Joe Bishop
With Superbrawl fast approaching everybody wants to build momentum and stake their claim for a star making match come the biggest show of the WFWF calendar. Every single competitor in the WFWF knows that Superbrawl can make or break stars and right now these three men all want to cement their place at the top end of the roster. Well so far that’s going a little better for some than it is for others. Take Brandon Bison and Cam Nitta for instance. Last week Bison came out on the losing end of a triple threat match to the debuting Makoto Nishiyama while Nitta came up short against another newcomer in Quentin Alexander. Joe Bishop meanwhile has been riding high since his return, picking up an impressive victory last week against the International Champion himself, Lucas Crowe. That means he’s got a target on his back here, because both Bison and Nitta know full well that beating Bishop would be a big exclamation mark on their road to Superbrawl. Who’s coming out on top out of these three up and coming competitors? We don’t know, that’s why we’re having the match. I thought you guys would know what a rhetorical question was by now.
Part II
---------------------------------------------------
The Future vs. Vass “The Slayer”
We’ve seen this before I hear you say! Your right, last show Future pulled out a sneaky victory over the new blood Vass with a roll up that no one saw coming, particularly his opponent. Post match “The Slayer” refused a hand shake from the returning veteran in what many have said was a huge show of disrespect. It’s not hard to understand why he was so reluctant to accept the show of sportsmanship though, as Vass had been nicely in control for a large portion of the match and complained to Lila Sleater that Future’s victory was a fluke and a only achieved because of a lapse in Vass’s concentration. Whatever the reason, Sleater and the WFWF fans alike have called for a rematch and we’ve got it right here! Can Vass prove to the world that he really should have won the first go around or will Future bolster his previous victory with yet another? This will be hot!
The Usurper?
---------------------------------------------------
David Brennan vs. Maxwell Dachs
Two weeks ago Maxwell Dachs called a press conference to announce and discuss his WFWF arrival with the media and my word did he get a few backs up. Is Dachs really as good as he claims? He’s got a hell of an opportunity to show us as he faces a man who’s dominance is unmatched since his return. David Brennan. Brennan is now 3 - 0 since his return to the fold in Boston and those victories haven’t been easy rides. He’s snatched Ws with authority from Penny Shannon, Ante Whitner, Dex and even his Superbrawl opponent and current WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe! A win in his debut here from Dachs would be the bang he’s looking for on his arrival but right now many are asking the question, ‘who can stop David Brennan?’
Critical Condition?
---------------------------------------------------
Dex vs. Makoto Nishiyama
Last show was very different for these two competitors. Makoto Nishiyama picked up a huge victory in his debut where as Dex wasn't quite so lucky against David Brennan, even less so post match when Penny Shannon took it upon herself to beat the ever living hell out of him. We've still had little word on Dex's physical condition since other than that he wants to compete. This could be Nishiyama's chance to continue his forward momentum by knocking off a stalwart of the modern era of WFWF, and what better time to try it when he's anything but 100%?
A Wolf and a Giant
---------------------------------------------------
Trevor Wolf vs. Big McLargehuge
Trevor Wolf did not have a good show last time around. Despite getting a three count over Trace Demon he still came out on the losing end thanks to the lack of referee and Cameron Stone’s presence at ringside. And then to add insult to injury he found himself the victim of a heinous attack by constant thorn in his side Jon O’Deeves. Despite having all of that rolling around in that head of his he’s got an even bigger problem this time around. And we do mean big. The man with the very literal name, Big McLargehuge, has come to the WFWF to prove that size really does matter, though we’ve heard that really it’s girth that makes the diff… you know what, that’s probably not appropriate for a family friendly wrestling show. Wait, we’re family friendly? That seems unlikely. Either way, Big McLargehuge is here and he’s planning to crush Wolf in those giant fists of his, at least that’s what we think he’s planning; he doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb. Can Trevor Wolf withstand the giant’s might? Either way one things for sure, Jon O’Deeves won’t be far away.
Tag Team Action
---------------------------------------------------
The Thunderbirds (Frank Lynn & Mike Jette) vs. Leeroy Jenkins & Dante’ Brooks
At Exodus The Thunderbirds put together one hell of an effort against the reigning WFWF Tag Team Champions Joshua Dean and Drakz, more than giving them a run for their money. Whilst they may have come up short they won the respect of the WFWF fans the world over, leaving the arena to chants of their names. This week they get to continue as a team squaring up against the debuting Leeroy Jenkins and Dante’ Brooks. Can the fresh and thus far anonymous men pull an upset and pick up a win here or are the Thunderbirds getting ready for another title shot?
