I was going through my toys last night and noticed an issue with his right leg. It wont come close together with the other leg and seems to sit out a bit. The joint where the leg goes into the boot seems too big as well, its like his leg is too skinny for the boot if you know what I mean. Really not happy with this as I paid £17.99, these elites arent cheap. Anyone have similar issues with their bulldog?

I don't own Bulldog but we all know how bad Mattel QC is, it's an outrage when we pay that much, I feel sorry for you dude, that sucks.

Joint issues are mainly person to person cases. Your Bulldog happened to be a bad one in the batch

My e39 Bulldogs left knee has never moved due to excess paint

I know there are others, but I can't remember who. It's a random issue because I also have perfectly fine versions of the same figure.

And the Summerslam Heritage basic also came in flawless! (Probably just cursed myself and both will have no legs by the end of the summer )

I've never seen a Bulldog in person that didn't have stress marks around the ab crunch, I'm thinking it had to be assembled differently because of the cape accessory.

My Bulldog is good. I guess I'm one of those lucky people who's never had a QC problem with any elite bought retail.

Every facet of the figures just seem way cheaper/sloppier now. Even the new molds seem much less inspired and unrealistic. Quite literally everything about the figures is going downhill imo.

Contact mattel and they will probably give you a voucher. QC happens with mass produced stuff. I have had a few and mattel was always good about making it right. one thing I don't get is how ppl make it like the figures are so expensive $20 isint a lot compared to a lot of other figure lines out there. its not justifying the QC issue at all I just don't think that $20 Is a lot for figures these days

As a kid I collected hundreds of G.I. Joe figures, Masters of the Universe figures, Bone Crunchers, Legos, and can't recall a single one ever having a QC issue. Not one! Ever! I've found more QC issues on a single Mattel Elite than nearly 500 figures from my youth combined. Compared to every figure line I've ever collected Mattel is by far the worst quality I've ever experienced.

Bulldog figures are notorious for bad leg sockets

If every company that mass produced items got as much slack as Mattel when it comes to QC hotdogs would be filled with pieces of plastic, Little Debbie snacks would be riddled with metal shards and unmixed ingredients, every other Lego set wouldn't connect, computer chips would fry instantly, etc. etc..
There are mass produced products light years more complicated to make then wrestling figures that have better QC than these, there's just no excuse. The cold hard fact of the matter is Mattel pinched pennies and partnered with a very low quality factory in China, that's the reason it's so bad now.

But yeah it Def seems to happen a lot w a mattel stuff.

I think some (a lot?) of this can be put down to: - as a kid, you don't really look for faults... you just enjoy the figure - and are too busy playing with them to really notice (or care about) things like paint apps/smudges etc. - as an adult, you/we are paying more than ever for toys, so are more picky and more likely to examine the figure for faults - toys years ago were far more basic (eg. the original Star Wars line and early GI Joes etc.) and not half as detailed/good as they are now, so were easier to mass-produce without faults Personally, I haven't really noticed this "sudden decline" in Mattel's figures... there's been the odd thing here or there, but nothing major. Maybe I've just been lucky.
