You know what...upon further research, I think we might be off on the Cruiserweight thing here. It would seem that the old CW title cut-off was 225, but the CWC has a cut-off of 205. So, now I'm not sure what weight we're going by here anymore...

So, now I'm not sure what weight we're going by here anymore... When Cruiserweights were still a thing in WWE (prior to the most recent resurgence), it was definitely 220-225. The new incarnation, though, cuts off much lower simply because wrestlers, as a whole, have gotten smaller. The original weight restrictions for the Cruiserweight division just don't make sense anymore, because they'd include a lot of former World Champions of the last several years. No matter which classification you go by, though, Finn would still fall under the Cruiserweight category. I just don't think any of that matters anymore. By and large, the audience today doesn't care about size. They want the guys who they perceive to be the most talented in the positions of prominence, whether that guy is 250, 220, or 190 pounds.

What i think is also weird, is that 205 lbs is light heavyweight in the UFC. Those arent small guys. Only one class lower than heavyweight. Its all about perception. Not once have i watched a Finn match and thought, "wow he looks small in there, the other guy would destroy him".

Isn't Rollins technically a cruiserweight? He's billed at 217 lbs, so yes I believe that would make him a Cruiserweight. CWC competitors have to get to / under 205 to be classed as a cruiser weight I think, but it was 220? 215? back in the mattitude era on smackdown. Dont know if that alters anything. Seth would be classed as a light-heavyweight in this new era.

While Balor is the only one of the four considered a cruiserweight by today's standards (under 205 lbs), all four men would be considered cruiserweights (under 225 lbs) back in 2002-2007. Also, I remember Flair always being eligible for the Cruiserweight title in WWE games, so........

Road Warrior Animal is also talking about how WWE is shoving Sasha down people's throats. So apparently it's old guys say something stupid week. Crowd chants "you deserve it" but she's being shoved down our throats. Good logic Animal. After this weeks Raw we've all realised (or remembered in some cases) that Animal, Ric Flair and Vince Russo are morons.

Ric Flair putting his friends over and downplaying guys who aren't his friend? That's nothing new. At least this time, the friends he's putting over are the Shield guys and Ziggler, instead of the usual HHH and HBK.
The reason it's hard to have Naitch as a spokesman is that he doesn't just fail to tow the company line, he goes a step further and just talks nonsense based on his own drunken agenda.
Ambrose vs Ziggler is not huge, Ric. It's barely a top of the hour Raw match.

Who do you have after Charlotte? Becky Lynch and Natalya are marooned on the island of misfit toys without a championship. Paige is lost in space. Neither Alicia Fox nor Summer Rae can carry the division. Naomi just returned from an injury. Dana Brooke is still green AF. Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Carmella were all just called up. And Eva Marie...is Eva Marie. Who's left? Sasha Banks. You can thank the writers for painting the revolution into a corner.

After this weeks Raw we've all realised (or remembered in some cases) that Animal, Ric Flair and Vince Russo are morons. Well, they're all entitled to their own opinions, silly as they may sound. With that said, Ric has been known to partake in the alcohol quite hard, Animal is part of a lawsuit saying he wasn't taken care of when he received concussions which can cause brain damage, and Russo is still Russo, so remember that when they give interviews and speak publicly.

Is Balor actually considered small? He looks massive imo and is one of the most toned people on the roster 5'11" on a good day. He is probably more in the 5"8 5"9" in real life. Billed at 190lbs....probably more like 180lbs. Balor is toned and ripped. But he is still small in stature. Flair is a bitter old fart. Wrestling has changed. Balor vs. Rollins will be a MOTY candidate. Both are amazing workers and both have an amazing mind for the business. Oh and Flair is nuts about the idea that Balor and Dynamite are similar. Dynamite was a roided up monster of a man. While he may have been 5'8"....he was easily a solid 235 to 245lbs. Dynamite could fly, but was more known for his impact moves and sound technical wrestling. Balor is smoother inside the ring. He is a chameleon and can adapt to so many different styles. Just on Monday, we saw him use technical, grappling, submission, high flying, martial arts, lucha libre and even did some brawling. Balor is so fluid and doesnt rely on one or two forms for his aresenal of moves. He adapts.

Crossfire put up a profile for Rollins 2 days ago. Says he weighs 206 lbs. That's cruiserweight weight so I'm not sure what Flair is talking about. And he must have missed Daniel Bryan at WM 30!

flair is just being an awesome worker even in his off time. puts over the company, puts over his buddies (dolph, triple h, orton), puts over the boys generally, puts over smackdown, puts over the company's choice in roman while still trying not to knock finn too heavily... it's one of the reasons why he's called the greatest ever. he's also not likely one to put over cruiserweights, considering he called shane douglas small... also, this: young ric wasn't exactly gonna be flying in the ring.

I think the days of the Heavyweight champ actually being a "heavyweight" are long gone.
Sorry Ric.
