Has anybody else read this book? I just got this recently, and am about 1/3 into it. It relates the story of James Harris, AKA Kamala, from his own telling. There's some good humor, and some early wrestling history, too. For instance, how many people knew that he started out wrestling as Sugar Bear Harris, and had a good run in Mexico and the UK? As a side note, if you buy the book, it also goes to supporting Harris himself, who has had a lot of medical troubles lately related to his diabetes. The only drawback is the lack of editing for typographical errors, that I can see. Otherwise, it's got a lot of good pictures to go along with the story, and a lot of fun as he relates some crazy adventures in his life. For instance, back in the days of "kayfabe," even his girlfriend thought that the matches were real, and that his manager was abusing him for losing matches. She ends up chasing him out of the house with a gun because she thinks he needs to "man up" to him manager. More than once. And of course he can't tell her it's not a real match, because that's the way it was back then. I felt bad for him, but hey, this is history!

Aw yeah I've seen some "Sugar Bear" matches. I like when you find out where the filmed the "Kimala" vignettes.

Sounds like pretty good read. Is it a biography or just like random stories? I doubt i will read it though .

It's an autobiography, essentially. He doesn't spare on the stories, but it all flows from his early life to modern day. I laughed out loud at a lot of his stories, and was saddened by others. It really is worth the read, if you happen to get it. I couldn't put it down!
