Well... they got Ron Howard. Not sure if the folks at Lucasfilm have seen Inferno or not but it absolutely sucked. I jest, mostly. Howard is a great director and props to them for going to get someone with name value to create the illusion that everything is going to be fine. I'm still not going to see it. Surely the bulk of the film has already been filmed. Which means a crazy amount of reshoots are probably about to happen. Which means they'll cram months of scenes into weeks of filming and then try to salvage the film on the cutting room floor. You have to appreciate the tabloid like drama that all of this is bringing haha. Ron Howard IS an Oscar winning director.. Which begs the question how they convinced him so quickly to come on and finish a Han Solo spin off film.

My guess is that they owe him one on some future pet project.

Or Ron Howard gets to come on, do some damage control but ultimately far less work than doing a full film, and get his name on a Star Wars film

My fiancé wanted to get into Star Wars so we started our marathon yesterday. We watched episode 1 and 2.
She likes it thus far. I asked how she wanted to watch and she said what does the creator of it say and I told her Lucas(to the best of my knowledge) said they're to be watched 1-6. Or 1-7 I guess?
Anyhow.. we will watch episode 3 next. Then Rogue One then 4-7
I feel like I like episode 2 more each time I see it.

Episode 2 is actually my least favorite in the series as far as entertainment is concerned. But oddly enough I keep finding myself getting more and more enjoyment out of it the past few times I've watched it. And I'm now starting to like it more and more as well. I think the dialogue being so damn awful in Episode 3 is what's making me start to like AOTC more.

The action in AOTC is awesome plus getting to see Windu and Yoda pull out their light sabers for the first time was cool. I love Episode 3 but dammit you are so correct about the dialogue. It's just cheesy especially between Anakin and Padme

Dialogue in general is a problem for the Prequels. HCs wooden delivery is dreadful. The Clone Wars toon saved the legend of Anakin Skywalker. Its certainly where I learned to like the character because he was a real pisspot in the movies.

I refuse to get excited until it's cast and production is actually under way.
Better have Ewan or I'm not watching
