WFWF Tag Team Championship Match (w/ Special Guest Referee Cameron Stone)
---------------------------------------------------
Samael Ahriman & David Brennan vs. Drakz & Josh Dean (c)
You know the term ‘card subjected to change’? Well this is exactly the kind of situation that was created for. The growing conflict over the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship continued to bubble last week when Trace Demon made the surprise announcement that he would team with Samael Ahriman to challenge Drakz and Josh Dean, their seeming allies respectively, for the WFWF World Tag Team Championships. Just moments after that match was made all hell broke loose and Trace was left lying at the hands of his apparent partner Ahriman. Just a day later, on WFWF.com (the only place to get the inside scoop of the WFWF) Trace Demon announced that as a result of the attack he was ‘injured’. Now, how true that is or not isn’t our place to say, mainly because we still want to get paid, but one thing’s for certain – boy, did Trace Demon find one hell of a replacement.
David Brennan, a man who has never even pretended that he wants to have any friends, a man who knows Drakz all too well from their New Epoch days and a man who will, undoubtedly, be bringing his A-game to this match as he guns for his first ever piece of WFWF gold. Is David Brennan’s involvement all a ploy by Trace Demon to mess with his long time-rival’s heads, or is there more at play here, and how the hell did he convince Brennan to take his place anyway? And we haven’t even touched on Cameron Stone’s involvement as special guest referee after weeks of working alongside Trace Demon to get himself a title shot. There’s a whole lot of intrigue going into this match, and it’s all bundled in with the WFWF World Tag Team Championships being on the line. Game on.
Golden Opportunity Qualifier
---------------------------------------------------
Ante Whitner vs. Danté Brooks
Mr Whitner returns! It’s been a very long time since Ante was a main stay on the WFWF roster. He of course returned looking to make an impact against Penny Shannon and David Brennan in Vegas but something wasn’t quite right. Whitner has returned now though and immediately finds himself in running for a solid spot on the Superbrawl card competing for the newly announced Golden Opportunity! Before he can do any of that though he has to qualify and there’s one man who doesn’t think Whitner will have any more direction than he did previously and that man is Danté Brooks. Brooks is only one match deep into his WFWF career so far and this is his first foray into singles action. We caught a glimpse of the lengths his willing to go to make a name for himself when he and Leeroy Jenkins put the hurt on a crazed Frank Lynn. Can he put something together here though and secure not only a big upset but also a shot at something special?
Four of the Best
---------------------------------------------------
Cam Nitta & The Future vs. Lucas Crowe & Dex
As the WFWF hurtles towards Superbrawl every single competitor in the company is looking to build up some momentum for what is being advertised as the biggest show in WFWF history. That includes four of the very best the WFWF has to offer. WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe is back following his suspension and will be looking to send a message to his Superbrawl opponent David Brennan, but the question of why Trace Demon went to Brennan and not his recent associate Crowe will undoubtedly be lingering in the champions mind. That could mean trouble for his partner Dex who, coming off of a victory last show, challenged Penny Shannon to meet him in action at Superbrawl. Things aren’t any less frantic for their opponents. The Future has been highly impressive since returning to the WFWF with two straight victories but all the while the shadow of Joe Bishop has been lingering over him. Meanwhile Cam Nitta is the only one of these three seemingly without a sure fire match at the biggest show of them all, which could make him the most dangerous of all as he looks to make an impact. What happens when you put four wildcards in one ring and ask them to work with another? Well, we’re hoping fireworks and violence obviously.
Dachs & The Wolf
---------------------------------------------------
Maxwell Dachs vs. Trevor Wolf vs. Apollo Sol
The landscape of the WFWF has shifted with the announcement of the Golden Opportunity and with the first champion waiting to be crowned at Superbrawl (did we mention how big this show’s going to be yet?) and three of the six competitors who will vie for that title ready to be named on this show, that leaves three more spots to be filled. And shots at the eventual champion to be earned too. That makes matches like these all the more important. Two men, with plenty on their plate already, and a third looking to make an impact in his debut, clash to make sure everybody knows that they should be on their radar. Trevor Wolf, who might have lost last week but still made an impact at the expense of recent rival Jon O’Deeves, takes on new bloods Maxwell Dachs and Apollo Sol. Dachs was also on the losing end of things last week but you have to believe that at Horizon Dachslemania is looking to rebound and shake the world whilst Sol is yet to show us what he's made of. Three men, one winner, you all know how this goes by now right? Fight!
Golden Opportunity Qualifier
---------------------------------------------------
Frank Lynn vs. Leeroy Jenkins
Last week we saw a tag match featuring both of these men. The way it ended? Jenkins wrapping a steel chair around the head of a crazed Lynn causing a disqualification. Both men displayed a vicious side and to be fair neither man really won or lost a match. With Mike Jette now out indefinitely with an injury Frank Lynn has changed course and is going it alone and this week there’s no room for half measures. Both Lynn and Jenkins are going to have to give their all as there’s more at stake here than just a win or a loss, this time they have a chance at greatness. A chance to become the first ever Golden Opportunity bearer. That’s history folks.
Golden Opportunity Qualifier
---------------------------------------------------
Big McLargehuge vs. Devin “Prim” Alexander
Opening the show this week is yet another Golden Opportunity qualifying match. Big McLargehuge comes off of a victory over Trevor Wolf and now finds himself across the ring from a fresh face both to him and the WFWF universe. Davin “Prim” Alexender is the wild card in these qualifier matches. He is the unknown quantity and we’d have to imagine that gives him the edge. Can he not only impress in his first match with the WFWF, but also become the first entrant for the Golden Opportunity match at Superbrawl. Full steam ahead guys!
