What are some video games that despite many people not liking it, you ended up enjoying? Explain why too.
I really liked Resident Evil 6 & Devil May Cry 2, which are both games that don't have a very good reputation among their fans. I don't really see why many people say DMC 2 sucked after playing it myself. As for Resident Evil 6, I will say that I haven't finished the game 100% like the others, and go back to it less than the others. Despite that, Resident Evil 6 still had good things like the intertwining campaigns, great final boss fights, interesting stories, and etc. for me to enjoy it.

Well, Destiny is my most played game of all time, so probably that. Probably the best combat I've ever had the pleasure of participating in (only Dark Souls/Bloodborne hold a candle for me, and that's a different genre entirely), lore that's highly fascinating, and a beautiful art direction. Game is unfairly hated on because it lacks a traditional gaming story, but I'm bored with games that try to be a movie ie. Uncharted anyway.
The Raids are some of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had.

Call of Duty: MW3
Many were expecting it to be just as great as MW2, but it wasn't. I still thought it was a very good game and fun to play.

I am one of the few who thoroughly enjoyed the story of Soap and company. One of the few CoD series games where I was enthralled by the story. As for a game I liked that not many did, I would have to say the Pokémon Ranger games. They're oddly fun.

I liked Watch Dogs too. Did many people like Far Cry 4? I did, thought it was awesome.

I get why people didn't like Aiden much, but his personality fit in with what had happened to the character. Loved T-Bone, glad you could play him in the DLC, and loved that he's coming back for 2. I'm a fan of 4. Kinda sucks that no matter what choice you make in the end, it's really not a good one. Like how they took the switch of going from the south pacific in 3 to the mountains in 4.

mafia 3. apparently a lot of people found the game to be repetitive, but i think that my interest and attention to the story helped to make me invested.

assassins creed 3, everyone i know hated it. i loved the hell out of it and logged 100+ hours on it 3 & 4 were my favourite Ass Creed games that I've played, never did like the beloved Ezio character, I just couldn't stand his latin lover charms & his Italian Mario bros. heritage, I'd take Connor & Kenway over him any day. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, Fuse & Syndicate, the latter two are probably more towards not many people playing those games or don't really care about them but I'm sure I'm gonna get nuclear heat for getting some enjoyment out of Operation Raccoon City.. me & my friend had a blast playing through that game as the deadly Wolfpack unit, we enjoy mostly all 4 player coop games & teaming up with randoms while plowing through story mode together so it was no shock that we liked this game.. it has it's faults, sure but it still left a good impression on us.. Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion - I'm not sure if this game is really that hated by many people but I've heard a lot of negative things about it from reviews, claiming it's one of the worst Super Smash Bros. clones & there are many of them.. I've played Super Smash Bros from the original, Melee & not so much Brawl but at this point i was getting a little tired of the same routine, same old characters, same gameplay etc.. I like most of the shows & the characters on the roster that they hand picked for CN: Punch Time, it was right before the Adventure Time era kicked in & Ben 10 was still the poster child for the Cartoon Network channel.. I had fun with the game, playing as my boy Samurai Jack slicing up foes was always satisfying, I've played worse Smash clones such as that Ninja Turtles game on the Wii, had to put it away & never touch it again after five minutes seeing as it was that bad & bland.. Heck, I'd even consider CN: Punch Time Explosion better than Smash Bros but that's just my personal taste & opinion, I'm not really a Nintendo fanboy like I'm sure many others are, this reminds me of the scenario where I also consider Sonic & Sega Allstars Racing Transformed to be better than the recent Mario Kart games, that's right America I went there. ;]

I enjoyed Dead Island a lot, despite most people writing it off as repetitive and boring. I pumped a lot of hours into it just beating the crap out of zombies to kill time. I only put about 3hrs into Riptide before getting caught up in other titles though. I recently got the remastered collection on PS4 for my birthday, but haven't gotten around to starting it. After putting in an absurd amount of time into Dying Light, I do wonder if I'll be able to recapture that old joy.
