I really don't get the painted flesh on torsos like this. Isn't black paint like the cheapest color? Wouldn't it be more cost effective to cast flesh color and then paint black?

Normally I wouldn't post this as I've been lucky with QC but this one shocked me. I thought the torso had actually come open as first but then I realised that wasn't a crack it was black plastic from the moulded black torso that had been painted flesh colour. I know they're mass produced toys and they aren't going to be perfect but this is just bad. I'm just grateful I bought this for the legs for a custom and no-one else will buy this actual figure and be disappointed. I'm really worried now for the RSC Wolfpack Sting. I like how in the second photo the right side of his singlet strap actually has a piece of flesh color where the black should be. Like, what the ing Mattel???

I'm looking to have the torso swapped on my Bret Hart. It's unfortunate that I have to invest in another figure to correct the first one. I'm scaling back on any painted torso's I see moving forward.

Makes me rethink my commitment to the line when you see stuff like this. Repeatedly If it keeps happening I'm out (mostly haha) If Mattel doesnt care about the figures why should I

Its probably cheaper to cast in black than a specific color. It sucks..
But its not that hard to understand
Machines mess up sometimes

I'm one of the biggest haters of painted flesh complaints on this forum. But that's disgusting. Totally deserving of a voucher.

I'm amazed some jackass hasn't said "don't like it, don't buy it" yet That's always the quickest way for me to tell that someone has nothing to contribute to a conversation. Its about as useful as when you dare say something is wrong with the country you live in and people go "don't like it, get out!". Excuse me? We're actually trying to see of there's a solution rather than accepting things as the way they are. In this case, I believe this isn't the first time a wave has had major problems across the board but it may be the worst. Quality Control is always bouncing back and forth from good to bad. I believe the cause is switching factories. I would recommend never using the factory that produced this wave again or there'll be a lot more people who jump ship.

Holy crap! That sucks. Wouldnt it be easier to paint the black over a flesh colored piece of plastic?

I saw an auction today for Bret and Anvil loose where the skin on Bret's torso looks like a cadaver.

I decided to quit collecting for the foreseeable future due to these constant errors. I can't stomach getting burned like that over and over again.
Not only are these are the most expensive toys I've ever collected they are also the most flawed. I can't justify it in my head anymore.
Keep fighting the good fight guys.

Weird thing is that despite all these problems, I've never... not once... had a figure with a QC problem.

I have yet to buy Elite 123 Kid, British Bulldog, or Finn Balor because I can't find one without paint splotches all over.
You need to get in contact with Mattel and get your voucher for the price of the figure. I had to do that once for a DC Universe figure that had one leg shorter than the other.
