There's no doubt he's a great talent, but I don't like him. Now his tag team partner, Jericho is a whole different story. I can't get enough of Jericho. It's refreshing to see someone say something like this. It gets really old when simply becuase someone doesn't like someone, they treat them like they're a talentless hack. I highly applaud your post. Yeah, he is great in the ring and his mic work is great, especially compared to many others on the roster. I think his rivalry with Zayn is one that will go down in history as one of the greatest of all time, and although his reign as champion wasn't too memorable in my eyes, feel without a doubt in my mind that he can be world champion one day. And despite me thinking he is good in the ring and on the mic and gives me a good laugh, there's just something about him that puts me off (similar to Chris Benoit to me, who I didn't like) I guess it's odd, and maybe one day I will like him, but for now he's not gonna be in my top 10 favorites. He is a valuable asset to WWE right now and could be in a spot just like Benoit, who was a main guy on his brand, and win world championships and some minor titles too. Let's all take a second to appreciate that despite not being a huge guy he can hit his finish on ANYONE in the company. I mean come on he's done it to MARK HENRY two times on TV with no problem. That is just another small part of what makes KO so great. I was just thinking about this. I haven't seen him do it to Big Show and I think there's a reason why. I think it would be awesome, but it doesn't have to be done to prove anything to me.

But my god it would be a sight to see!

About a year or so ago, a guy on here who is no longer here named "Doobie" and I would argue over Kevin Owens. I did not like him a year ago, and to be honest now... I am okay with him.
But here's the thing, I became a fan of him in his feud with Sami Zayn. I HATE Sami Zayn. I will never like him, and Owens - to me - was the lesser of two evils in that feud. So I cheered on Owens.
And I always thought that a Jericho/Owens tag team would have been great, and it looks like its happening. And to be honest, I hope Jericho and Owens are the ones to take the Tag Titles off New Day.
As for his 2016 year. I don't think it was that impressive to be honest. He was stuck in a feud for 5 ppvs in a row with Sami Zayn! Five... five ppvs in a row! To me, those matches got boring. I felt like I seen it before - which clearly I did.
I think Owens 2015 year was much more greater and successful. He won the NXT Title in his first title match, went to WWE, feuded with Cena right off the bat, won the IC Title. All in a year. This year, he was kind of stuck in the middle with Zayn.
But I really am hoping a Tag Title reign with Owens and Jericho!

One thing I love the most about him is that he'll sell a f*cking beating the next night after a PPV

Owens is winning MITB next year. He's perfect for that case. He's going to be World Champion too imo. I think he's overcome a bunch of stereotypes and his mic work is so good. He's funny, witty, and he can go. He's got a chip on his shoulder too. Plus, it makes me smile to know that somewhere off in the distance, Jim Cornette's head is about to explode off his shoulders every time Owens gets a win haha.
Owens is all-in. He's right up there with Rollins as the guy who you can tell eats, sleeps, and breaths this stuff. From the nuances to the character he's building. Guy wants it. I don't see any reason why they can't replicate his NXT Title run on the main roster. It's easy to buy into him being ruthless and unmerciful and indifferent to everyone who is not him or his family.

I don't get how some people can't like Owens. He puts on consistently great matches, is great on the mic and is so entertaining. In terms of great matches this year, I'd put Owens as #2 this year behind Sami Zayn. The match against Nakamura and the 2/3 falls match with Joe means he just edges it for me.

he's one of, if not the best, active wrestler in the wwe today. his matches rarely disappoint and he is one of the few who seems to be able to take the bland creative direction they get and make it into something that is actually entertaining and has purpose.

He really has the complete package. People crap on him about his "look" Oh ok, i'll just hit springboard moonsault. Not to mention when is the last time you've seen him legitimately blown up in a match? maybe he has a guy, but he is clearly well conditioned. His mic skills are top notch. He can hang with anyone or hold his own. He is the best heel in the company by what a REAL heel is supposed to be. Rollins plays his version of a heel perfectly, but it's not the best version its the modern day crappy lame WWE heel. Owens has managed to keep the heel persona intact maybe under the radar. The little things he does like mocking his opponent, facial expressions, etc. just put him over the top. He is a flat out FANTASTIC wrestler. He's power, technical, striking, high impact, high flying. He does things guys like him should not be doing. I never thought I would see Kevin Steen in a WWE ring.....let alone be one of the most entertaining and well booked guys on the roster. It's awesome. His story while on his way up to the WWE championship is gonna be the ing best.

Owens is living proof that the muscle-bound physique automatically means best shape thing is a myth. He can run circles around a large portion of the roster in the ring. His conditioning is top notch. The same goes for a guy like Samoa Joe. They're both functionally strong and conditioned.

Owens is awesome. Thought for sure he was gonna be the MITB winner this year, has put in numerous 4-5 star matches and the guy is entertaining as hell. Plus seems like a genuine guy outside the ring, likeable, down to earth.
Really hoping he gets a world title push within the next year. Guy should easily be the #2 heel behind Rollins in the next few months. And when they do decide to turn Rollins face, then you have the next #1 heel completely ready to fill that role.

He's great. One of their top talents no doubt.
Amazing heel and he's very quick and vitty with what he says in non-scripted environments.
