Yeah I'd get a couple non figures signed to go with the figures you want to get signed Should I get a bat? Or a Big Gold Belt signed? Are you allowed to bring a bat to those events? I know security checks for weapons at signings

My main issue with the bat is that I can't find an all black metal one (with no logos). He never used a wooden bat in WCW, and I'd like to have that era of a bat signed. Nitpicky I know. But going back, can you bring a bat on an airplane? And can you bring it to the convention?

He used a plastic/rubber one while in WCW lol. Simple answer is to buy a bat & paint it black. Have it shipped to & from Philly. Another thing you can have signed is a Sting mask.

So, I have this deathly fear of flying. Ever since I was 10 (22 years ago), I've been afraid to be on a plane. I just couldn't grasp how such a large object hurdles through the air. I've made trips here and there with parents, but have not enjoyed it. Now, I have to fly for work, so I can't really try to weasel out of it. As luck would have it, I have to be in Philly. The weekend before I have to go to meetings and depositions, Sting is at a convention. I've signed up and am going to meet him. So essentially, he's the reason I'm facing my fears. I feel like it's a sign that I'm supposed to fly because I've wanted to meet Sting forever, and am getting afraid that that window to meet him is shrinking. TL;DR: Scared of flying. Have to because of work. Found out Sting is there. Going to meet Sting. Anyway, onto the point of this thread. I paid the $350 to meet him and get 6 items signed. Sadly, it looks like I won't have the RSE Mattel Wolfpac Sting signed because it's not due before October I believe. Ideally, I wanted him to sign the following: 1) DM Crow Sting 2) DM GAB Sting in Red 3) DM Factory Error GAB Sting in Blue 4) DM GAB Sting in White (correct boots) 5) Wolfpac Sting 6) ? Well, I now have tentatively 2 open slots. I may have 4 because I don't know if I really want to go the red, white and blue route with the DM GAB Figures. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I am going to be lugging around a lot of luggage because of work. I do have the Basic Surfer Sting, the Elite Raw Sting, and the Basic Crow Sting in my possession. I did want to get a bat signed, but not sure how I can transport that around. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, what do you think of the 3 GAB DM Stings signed in Red, White, and Blue respectively? if your having that much trouble filling your spots I'll happily send you my dm crow sting to take with you and be signed 😆😆😆

Good luck! I met Sting in July and he was very friendly. I got Crow Sting DM signed in white (looks amazing), GAB Sting in light blue (looks amazing) and E39 in red (looks amazing, lol). Personally I'd suggest swapping out the two bonus GAB Stings for something else ... maybe E39 or the galoob faces of sting set? He'll also have plenty of pictures to get signed if you're short an item or whatever. Part of the package I got included a 18 X 24 signed photo of him from Wrestlemania, and though I don't love it as much as the signed figures it's still pretty cool. Wasn't that Faces of Sting set made by Toybiz... not Galoob?

Get the makeup. It's literally like meeting Gene Simmons without his Kiss Makeup on. Yeah it's cool, but it's just not the same. (For wrestling fans, I'd be like meeting Rey Mysterio without his mask). I may try and meet Bret Hart I settled on my 6 items. 1) DM Sting Crow 2) Black Alumnium Baseball Bat 3) nWo Wolfpac Shirt 4) WCW Magazine with Sting on Cover. I think it's the May 1992 issue (It's the one where he won WCW Wrestler of Year) 5) DM Sting GAB 6) Sting Photo (for my Grandfather who is a big Sting fan too (or at least claimed to be when he and I would watch WCW together). I just like getting figures signed because of my display.

I know where I can get that type of bat. I've seen them in stores. I just want to get one that really looks like his. I think I might do that instead of aluminum.

Try and find a really cool 8x10 or 16x20 and maybe a magazine he was on. That way you have two smaller and flatter items that won't take up a lot of room. They also make a plastic sleeve you can keep the pics in so they don't get bent

Not sure how they're doing it at Icons (I'll probably be there), but a "No-Facepaint" photo op can be great if it's well done..... I was skeptical about if I even wanted this, but the fabulous photographer Craig Hunter Ross was doing the shot at MCW's Shamrock Cup and this quickly became one of my new favorites! The reason I had to get the "no-facepaint" photo op was because I wanted to get my "Facepaint" photo op from June signed, and figured if I was going to go through with it, I might as well do the photo op as well! Nothing wrong with having one of each, right? I'm very happy with both..... I probably won't be getting a third at Icons, but might get something signed..... and I have a friend who might be doing the photo op!
